“A Place” is a project about the experience of migration, in which the creators use their own experience as a way to see and share the realities of millions of migrants in new ways. Their experience is projected onto the cultural practices of the millennia-old experience of human migration, starting with the songlines of indigenous people of Australia and plunging into the infinity standing behind Neolithic Venuses.

The composition is built on the principle of a triangle. The three parts of the production represent three steps from the world's surface into the anthropological abyss: the inner space of the migrant, the feeling of a community under stark restrictions, and the global and unsupported world of eternal nomads.

"A Place" is not merely a presentation; it's a journey that skillfully intertwines various artistic elements to create an emotionally resonant and intellectually stimulating experience for the audience. It stems from the multi-sensory approach. Choreography and bodily-emotional expressions communicate emotions and experiences that words alone may struggle to convey. The audiovisual elements complement these movements, engaging the audience's senses on multiple levels. The combination of these elements makes the experience more immersive and resonant.

The project was started, got inspired, explored and researched in a format of internationwl dance laboratory and afterlab performance for professionals and amateurs (Presentation during contemporary dance festival in November 2022.) Ant it was developed as 50 minutes choreographic piece for 5 people from Russia, Belarus and Ukraine in Atoneli theater in Tbilisi (Premiere: November 2023)
