Who shot first han did
ОтветитьTHE REAL HAN SOLO DOES NOT GIVE A FLYING FUCK, "WHO SHOT FIRST?"
THAT'S THE REAL ANSWER. HE HAD SPOKEN. YOUR WELCOME! LOL.
You look at the maclunkey gherkin...
ОтветитьWhy don't they show the original film?? It's much better!
ОтветитьI like captain solo❤
ОтветитьI've posted this elsewhere.
Not sure why, but I dug out my old copy of the 1976 paperback. It's credited to "George Lucas" all over it, but ghost written by Alan Dean Foster. The cantina shooting scene takes place between pages 104 and 105. It plays out pretty close to what we all saw in the movie...
"Over my dead body," Solo said unamiably.
The alien was not impressed. "If you insist. Will you come outside with me, or must I finish it here?"
"I don't think they'd like another killing in here," Solo pointed out.
Something which might have been a laugh came from the creature's translator. "They'd hardly notice. Get up, Solo. I've been looking forward to this for a long time. You've embarrassed me in front of Jabba with your pious excuses for the last time."
"I think you're right."
Light and noise filled the little corner of the cantina, and when it had faded, all that remained of the unctuous alien was a smoking, slimy spot on the stone floor.
Solo brought his hand and the smoking weapon it held out from beneath the table, drawing bemused stares from several of the cantina patrons and clucking sounds from its more knowledgeable ones. They had known the creature had committed its fatal mistake in allowing Solo the chance to get his hands under cover.
"It'll take a lot more than the likes of you to finish me off. Jabba the Hut always did skimp when it came to hiring his hands."
Leaving the booth, Solo flipped the bartender a handful of coins as he and Chewbacca moved off.
"Sorry for the mess. I always was a rotten host."
...in this version, Chewbacca is still present. Han and Chewie are seated while Greedo remains standing. The important bit is that Greedo wants Han to stand up and go outside with him, so he can finish him off without witnesses.
But, Han shoots him first.
I don’t know why people felt it necessary to figure out who shot first? It was pretty obvious.
ОтветитьI love this scene. I love George Lucas but I prefer the original films without ANY of the meddling that he did later. NONE of the changes were an improvement in my view.
Greedo's too stupid to say "Get your hands up", no wonder he missed in the versions where he shot first or at the same time as Han. His aim was so bad he should have been a stormtrooper.
What’s the debate? Greedo didn’t even shoot.
ОтветитьWhether Han was justified or not, who cares? When we meet him here, he's not some pure-hearted hero. He's an unscrupulous smuggler working for mega-criminal Jabba the Hutt and hanging out in a rough, dumpy bar. Of course, he killed dirtbag Greedo! Lucas' reason for changing the scene makes zero sense, and it was done poorly too. The new scene makes no sense.
ОтветитьThis would make a perfect The Boys meme
ОтветитьR.I.P Maria De Aragon the original Voice Actress for Greedo 😭😭😭😭😭
ОтветитьThis is one of the few instances where Star Wars violates one of its most critical rules: That since it is inspired by silent films, all dialogue should be superfluous. The dialogue only serves to reinforce that story that's already being told visually. Lucas fails to do that here, since visuals are ambiguous, whereas the dialogue is not. Greedo tells Han that he's going to kill him, but he never shows it.
This was obviously fixed in the Special Edition, but having Greedo get off a shot, showing his murderous intent.
Never take any threat lightly that's the moral of the story / scene here . Man's gotta do what a man's gotta do .
Ответитьsaddest star wars death I loved Greedo so much
ОтветитьI don’t understand why they changed it, the reason was they wanted Han to look like he was the victim and defending himself but this also portrays that because greedo was heavily implying he was going to shoot and kill him anyway so wither he had the chance to shoot or not wouldn’t make a difference to storyline
ОтветитьB.I.H Greedos, 1933-1977.
ОтветитьMaking Greedo shoot first was ridiculous, but I don't see how it changed Han's character. People seem to think Han shooting first was important for character development, because it shows he was a cold blooded murderer, whereas Greedo shooting first made it self defence. But even when Han shot first, it was still clear self defence, as Greedo was still pointing a gun at him.
ОтветитьStar Wars fans discussing such a little scene to this day explains everything bad about the fandom
ОтветитьThere’s no Han shot first. There is only Han shot
ОтветитьHan shooting first is better for character development he’s already a bastard and criminal with his demeanor he would have shot greedo if the engagement was only verbal because once a bounty hunter knows your location they wont just let you leave his only option to escape for-good from him was to silence him before he took him out then and there or waited till he got up to leave Han grew more honorable as he travels with Luke hence stuffing him in a dead animal to survive the cold Besides. Han may have shot first. But greedo was already unholstered
ОтветитьHan doesn't shoot first. Han shoots. Greedo doesn't shoot at all. Greedo is dead.
Ответить"When you have to shoot, shoot, don't talk"
ОтветитьUna puta solo?
Ответитьthis movie was so good
ОтветитьThey both shot first, end of debate.
ОтветитьI love how Chewie just completely ignores the fact that his partner gets stopped at gunpoint right behind him and he just keeps walking up the stairs.
ОтветитьGreedo never fired.
ОтветитьThis scene would be perfect if they added the Maclunkey.
ОтветитьThankfully I own this verison on dvd
ОтветитьThis scene is a bunch of maclunkey.
Ответить"Just for the record, I shot first."
ОтветитьWhat’s sad is that Kathleen Kennedy was a producer along with Stephen Spielberg and Frank Marshall in some great films, but she went woke and ruined some of the greatest movies she’s ever been apart of. So sad.
ОтветитьHow can they understand each other with two different languages?
Ответить"Yes i Bet You Have!" PEW! 😂 Press F to Pay respect for The poor Greedo😢😂
ОтветитьThe way I see it, dodging the bullet wasn't necessary. When if he moved his head, greedo would've missed by an inch or 2. Beside han solo has plot armor, that's why storm troopers missed so many shots when they would fire at the protagonists
ОтветитьIt was a justified shooting. George Lucas should of consulted a lawyer before making the change.
ОтветитьThe real question with this scene is why can’t they speak in one language? they apparently understand what they are saying
ОтветитьHan killed the same alien his father-in-law beaten up during the Republic Era
ОтветитьMuch better than the not so special edition
ОтветитьHan would've been even more badass if he used a gun.
Ответитьno maclunkey
