ОтветитьHad the BIGGEST crush on Scott Carne as a teen in the 80’s. I met him & got his autograph at a music expo at the Melbourne Showgrounds. What a spunk!!!
ОтветитьChange in Mood
Song by Kids in the Kitchen
Look so careful
For a fault
Wait one minute
Say no more
Bewildered then
Bewildered now
Conceal forever
Is this the end?
Waiting, I'm changing
Now my eyes are open wide
Fear in voice, I remember
Change in mood
I could sense it
Changing every day
I remember infatuation
It's a figure of your imagination
Through young times
Wilder minds
Conceal forever
Is this the end?
Change in mood
I could sense it
Changing every day
Words of meaning
Words of change
You look inside
There's nothing there
I can't, no I can't
That's forever
Change in mood
I could sense it
Changing every day
Change in mood
I could sense it
Changing every day
Oh
Whoa-oh-oh-oh
Whoa-oh-oh-oh
Whoa-oh

ОтветитьI grew up in Melbourne and spent the first ten years of my life living in the Queen Victoria hospital.
When you see the tower (shot tower) in the opening scene that is directly opposite the hospital and was always visible from my bed.
The song is haunting and beautiful in so many ways.
Love this band since they started and enjoy them even more today
This song would suit the stranger things soundtrack. What an Aussie classic
ОтветитьGreat song
ОтветитьMelbourne in the mid 80s .. the wonder years
ОтветитьThere is just something about pop songs in the 1980s. I think possibly we are hearing in pop songs how things were then. A much simpler time and a carefree and happy time as well. Some have told me this seemed this way because I was a kid then. I do not think that was it... Things really were great in the 1980s. A special time in history.
Ответить💪😎👍
ОтветитьLove this song, reminds of my youth, plus Aussie, thanks
ОтветитьThis song should have been in a John Hughes film 🎥
ОтветитьI remember finding this song on a CD back in 1998 :) and I really loved it, what a beautiful catchy song
ОтветитьWhat an awesome song! It's very reminiscent of early U2; powerful and upbeat. God, it was great to be a teenager in the 1980s!
ОтветитьAustralia’s best contribution to the New Wave music scene of the early 1980s. It is a shame the group were not able to make an impact overseas. Anyway, every time I hear the song it brings to mind being a teenager in Melbourne during that period.
ОтветитьOne of my best songs 😎
ОтветитьYeeeeeeeeeeeeeeS.... What a song. and moment... to remember......
ОтветитьWorld class voice, the sentiment is enduring and the music outstanding
ОтветитьI remember being young
ОтветитьHard to believe it’s been 40 years. Brilliant song
Ответитьgod I love this song, reminds me of carefree, happy times
ОтветитьOne of the most beautifully crafted Aussie songs ever
ОтветитьAnother awesome band from Victoria.. so many!
ОтветитьProbably my favourite from the 80s. Even now I often play it on repeat in the car on my daily commute!
ОтветитьLove the tempo build up. Makes me want to jump around and dance ❤
ОтветитьNearly 40 years ago, this one. How old do you feel?
ОтветитьJust realizing this in 2023. What a great song /band
ОтветитьThe lyrics as sung by the Kids in the Kitchen in this clip...
Look so careful,for a fault,
Wait one minute, say no more,
Bewildered then, bewildered now,
Concealed forever, is this the end?
Waiting, I'm changing.
Now my eyes are, open wide,
Fear in voice, I remember,
Change in mood, I could sense this,
Changing every day.
I remember, infatuation,
It's a figure of your imagination,
Through young times, wilder minds,
Conceal forever, is this the end?
Change in mood, I could sense this,
Changing every day.
Words of meaning words of change
You look inside there's nothing there I can't
No I can't, that's forever...
Change in mood, I could sense this,
Changing every day,
Change in mood, I could sense this,
Changing every day.
Ohhhh
Whoa-oh-oh-oh
Whoa-oh-oh-oh
Whoa-oh
La, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la
Whoa-oh
La, la, la, la, la
Guitar riffs sound similar to the edge of u2 early tunes like wire or Indian summer
ОтветитьOld
ОтветитьI remember being a young lad when this song first came out. Sadly, my mates and I weren't very kind to the band and their music. We thought they looked like a kind of plastic knock-off version of Spandau Ballet and Duran Duran... and just a little too ''pretty-boy'' pleased with themselves. We thought their music was derivative / typical ''haircut'' New Romantic stuff. Sort of watered-down Synth; nothing special.
ОтветитьWhat a cool 😎 song thought of it 4some❤ reason now😊🎉 happy i did 🎉❤ 💖🥰 needs 2 be revised to be an inspirã🎉t1ona1 tune likE this perhaps an anthem for Paris Olympics "😎💖 💯 on fire
strive 4 Gold( medal in Paris) blood is pumping
mind is Set fate awaits this Day
§trive 4 Gold do you best make Australian 🦘 proud😊🎉
41 years 😮.
Scotty was a great singer.
Partially filmed at Melbourne baths.
Aus music really contributed some good tracks to the new romantic movement, which went on to influence the later electronica scene,
this track still stands up today.
I heard this yesterday 24/2/24 on Rage. Never heard it before. Great song. I'm sure there's a lot more gems like this I've never heard yet.
ОтветитьSuch a banger of a song
Totally awesome after all these years
I can close my eyes & go back to loved ones who've passed on & feel myself at the pub/club with this beat blasting, feeling wonderful 😊 Ahh youth, great times to never be repeated maybe that's why we're here?! Cheers all! 🍻 🎶
Ответить❤ 80's 🎶
ОтветитьThis band had this sound way before u2
ОтветитьI remember when they came to the blue light disco and preformed it in Bendigo
ОтветитьAussie 80’s bands were something special 🇦🇺🇦🇺❤❤
