It is 11/4/2023 and the 9G iPad is on sale at Walmart, Target and Amazon for ~$249 (an early Black Friday 2023 Deal? ), I picked one up from Walmart for <that much and I have not taken it out of its packaging. But now I can confidently open it. Thanks for the help Max Tech!

I have iPad Pro m1 and I use iPad 6th gen for well for nothing much as listening to music in shower and watching ytb or Disney plus. And I’m considering upgrading this iPad for iPad 10 or willing to wait till this year iPad 11.

Right now the iPad 10 is on sale for $350.

Apple’s Usb-C multiport adaptor is lacking a 3.5mm headphone/microphone jack. iPad 9th is my last.

I get graphics score of 10,857 on my 5th gen. Something is wrong there…4471 multi core and 2561 single core as well…there’s no way my 5th is better than the 9th gen. I’m running Gb4 though.


Edit: just ran gb6 and only got 3201 on the gpu. This seems more like it. I wonder what the difference is between GB versions.

I bought 9. because i thinked not maching price of basic ipod. And i use only study(many times use base memo app, and some searching on web) for work. 9 or 10 .I did not have worry l for buy select.

I got one of each yesterday. The 9 is 179 at Best Buy. The 10 is 349. Everyone’s getting iPads for Christmas!

I only spent 306 for my iPad, Apple Pencil, and apple care. I did a trade in from my iPad 8 to th pink iPad 10.

9 has better sound

10 gen ipad speakers have just at bottom part....... Top part is mycraffons

So despite the cons, NO headphone jack, $150 higher price and a protruding rear camera. I listen to music and movies via headphones and take photos with my phone which is always with me.

I had a 9th gen and i always used it and didn’t really wanna upgrade, but it broke so I upgraded anyway

I own both, I definitely like the 10 over the 9, I also bought the 10 brand new in the box from best buy for a way cheaper price than the 9.
The camera is amazing, the iPad doesn’t feel like a flimsy piece of garbage, and with a better camera design I’m able to add more attachment lenses for my iPad.

My only regret was not buying a case for it as all my other cases are either too big or too small.
But Amazon has some good options for a 20 dollar price range.

2.2 years later picked up a lightly used 9th gen for $130

Thought long and hard about it and bought the 9 , not paying the extra for the 10 I’d rather jump to the Air5 tbh
