I don't think it's important for headphones to emulate loudspeakers. Indeed, why many of us choose headphones is that they offer a unique and interesting and DIFFERENT listening experience from speakers.

PSB's customer base may be more old school, and their music may also be more loudspeaker based (recording monitored on speakers, not headphones) ... so PSB/NAD 'phones may better please that (older) crowd.
