Something I liked about the R rating is that it meant the fight choreography wasn’t just the normal ton of spin kicks that don’t connect. Or five minutes of Blade-style clicky-clack swords. The claws needed to end up in someone’s chest, so it was harder to just elide things.

I suspect that thoughts and prizes started off as an ear worm in James' head after hearing someone say "thoughts and prayers", and from there it took on a life of its own.

Who tf doesn't know the original xmen don't exist? Also this movie was great wtf. Yes the other movies are messy but who tf really cares.

I just thought about it when you said that Dafne Keen did most of her action stunts, do child actors have child stunt doubles that it’s ok for them to do the job to dangerous for the actual actor to do?

The best lens to watch Logan through is to assume the only movies that certainly occurred are X-Men 1 and 2. Leaving the world's genocidal turn on the mutants towards their "post-mutant" society a lot more ambiguous, the audience is incentivized to fill in the blanks with their own understanding of what humanity would inevitably have done, which gives the world more real human weight than if we try and go off any facts provided by X3 onward lol.

every Hugh Jackman movie is canon to Wolverine just the adamantium bullets/weapon x fuckery made him forget it and it's all the same timeline just days of future past trials to see if they can time travel to fix it.

Genuinely, the Wolverine trilogy are the only X-Men films I've seen but since I watched all of them either pirated on a laptop on some lonely night or on a crappy tv at someone's house party across more than a decade I can't really say much about that experience. They were all movies, and one of them was even good
