I have had Ludwig pearl. But my Tama Rockstars are the best I own
ОтветитьIo sono un Tamaniano, e posseggo una Tama
Ответитьcan anyone tell me which series made in Japan currently?
ОтветитьI love tama Drums too
ОтветитьThank you for making this video, when I was a young I was in a rock band in the early 80s and Neil Peart had a Tama so I had to have one in blue. I loved that drum set, it was my life. My wife got me a used Pearl drum kit and it’s all came back to me quickly, so now I’m going to move back into a Tama again. This video really helped me to move forward. Thanks again!
ОтветитьI’m a DW fan, but I can’t deny that Tama makes amazing drums and hardware!! I own a 14x6 Mapa Burl SLP snare drum and my bass drum pedal is a Tama Iron Cobra Double Pedal.
ОтветитьAwesome work.
ОтветитьI wish Japan made everything. Or that everyone made things like Japan.
ОтветитьI love how much fun the guide is having lol
ОтветитьId love to see one on Mapex!
Ответитьi had the impression that Jared was a good person, now i see he is a little ´´clown´´ so much jokes and little disorespects, i think is still a good person, but is a little clown.
ОтветитьI’d be curious to see the Chinese plant … the silverstars were a sleeper kit
Ответить“I could completely bomb” lol 😬😅
ОтветитьWell I’m glad we FINALLY have hardened proof/confirmation that it’s indeed pronounced “TOM-uh” and not “TAM-uh” like some clowns pronounce it. Thank goodness. 😂
ОтветитьThis is a brilliant video showing all processes used, I would love to see how Octobans are made 🙏🙏⭐️⭐️
ОтветитьYea umm. who the hell is Simon Phillips, but this guy can't even pronounce Charlie Benante. A little research never hurt
ОтветитьWhen I was 18, I inherited some money and bought my "dream kit"... Custom sized Starclassic Maple, made in Japan. 19 years later and they are still as rock solid and good sounding as the day I got them. I love Tama.
ОтветитьSwitched to Tama from Pearl. My 44 year old pearl export could not take it anymore. Constant years of gigging, etc. I bought an imperialstar and love it
ОтветитьI prefer playing on an American made family business like a Noble & Coley kit. 🫡🇺🇸🤘🏼
Ответитьgot an old steel imperialstar 14X6.5 from the 80s. still amazing.
and iron cobra powerglide 🙌
Tama ilove 👌🌹✌️
ОтветитьI just unboxed my brand new Starclassic Performer today and I'm so glad i came across this video when I did.
I have such an appreciation for this company, their culture, and the magnitude of commitment they have to the craft.
Truly the strongest name in drums.
Thank you Tama.
Bought a Tama star bubinga snare straight from Tama factory Japan. Very disappointed with the product. The inlay where the air hole had a crack inside lacquer finish.
I have no idea how it passed inspection
I tried to contact Tama but they don’t receive email or any feed back from customer…
1983 Tama Imperial Star kit with 2x 24" kicks... make your heart skip a beat!
ОтветитьI own a Tama superstar drum set, and i recently purchased the only Tama 8" tom that was matching my set.
But it's original wrapping was stripped, and the drum was painted blue, and my drum is with original black wrap.
I searched everywhere and couldn't find a matching color.
Wrote an email to Tama europe, no success, wrote an email to Drumeo, in hopes they could help me out, with a contact email address from Tama drums, no success.
Can anyone from the community help me out ?
I want a star classic 😩😩😩
Ответитьmakes me want another tama set ... have one for 15 years midnight blue too . one of the rarer late 90s early 2000s colors . all mahogany but still was a great set !!! currently on a pearl and my 12in tom just a roar that i cant figure out prob a dry shell or bad shell.
ОтветитьI want to suck my cork
ОтветитьI'm a Pearl guy myself, but I can respect the craft and passion that goes into Tama
ОтветитьThese documentaries are less documentary and more self promotional goofy ass guy. I just wanted to see how they make their drums.
ОтветитьI have 2 Star drum kits and they are very good to be 1967-8 Japan made drums.
ОтветитьCant believe Billy wasn't the first name in that hallway
Ответитьdoes the same care go into the ones made in china?
ОтветитьI guess the Lars snare drum is from the thrash bin
ОтветитьHomeboy said "drill the bearing edge" followed by "buffering".
Ответить15 minutes into watching and I’ve given up any hope of seeing anything of any substance. It’s obvious that the people at Tama didn’t want this video to be anything other than an advertisement. It certainly wasn’t gonna be how we make our drums.
ОтветитьWOW....I just watched your Sonor factory tour, now this.... Just the difference in the way they put the shells together is night and day, in efficiency and quality.... Must be so awesome to be there in person and experience the process...
ОтветитьTama kits are the best
ОтветитьI had a Drum Mate kit wayyyyyyy back when I started in the mid 70’s. Used it on and off over the decades, but eventually it just broke…
ОтветитьThe star series are the most beautiful drama their are😊
ОтветитьDrum companies should let people go through their junk plpile
ОтветитьI liked Tama, but since I bought John Tempesta signature snare and it turned out, that two IN A ROW had scratches on shell edges, I am not sure if the quality of Tama is really such a big thing... Dissapointment fights with hope. I am still waiting for a third one to be send to me. Please, let it be flawless.
Ответить..Japan has an unspoken rule of perfection..
..TAMA's quality&design speaks for itself..
..keep it up! The only brand that I trust..
My first kit was a Star 5 piece in speckled blue
Ответитьit honestly seems like such an awesome (and peaceful) place to work. everyone seems so chill. i wish it wasn't on the complete opposite side of the world. i'd love to learn how to make drums
ОтветитьA 1983 Tama 10 piece concert Tom’s. 4’-18 (18’ has the original chrome bottom reso still somehow) and two 24”war drums. Did not come with the snare. It did not have to. I was incredibly blessed in a very magical way when I received this at 14. It humbled and disciplined me to my core. I had to play this drum set right. I had been playing for a year and a half and playing weekly gigs with my father. (yes, I only would bring 3) and he played upright bass with a full cap packed into a Toyota truck with that 24” and PA. Tetris masters. I think I took all of them out to a show only once. But I’m 33 now and couldn’t imagine what my life would be like had I not gotten them. Seeing this makes me vary proud that I still have them and I let them sing every chance I get. From Texas I Thank You TAMA Team for believing in what you do and loving it. True power love thank you drumeo for this.
