What I want to know is why no new slug species were introduced in the Eastern Caverns? It's an entirely separate ecosystem that should have its own endemic species. 😒

I would bring back twist for one. He was such and intresting chracter. Chalaging Eli's morals on what's good and bad. And what'll happen to Black's workers after everything.
Change the eastern cavern to more east. Culture people ain't that hard.
Bring up Eli's trouma with his parents and his insucirites as the shane. It took him a year to even mention his mother. Something went on there. Being compared to his dad over and over again has got to hurt. He definitely had self cofedince issues like in the first two episode, play it up.
The culture of slugs and slugterra. Is it really hard to make a fictional culture?! No it's not. I'm a writer! Take bits and peices from real life culture!
Bring back Dina as well. She was such an investing character. Wanting to unlock the Shane mistery almost as much as eli. And having a connection to the shadow clan though the shadow walker like Eli has the shadow talker.
How Black got to the surface to slugterra. How did be get from the surface to slugtera. I thought only the shanes could.
Get rid of slugfu or change it. don't make it a fighting style make it a mythical connection. If not don't keep it.
Also, leaves his dad dead. I hate the I was never dead or coming back from the dead trop
Also expand on the shadow clan, trolls, moleinoids, those I think elves (some of them look like elves), and there cultures.

Trixie, cord, pronto, Eli's family and lives before the shan gang. The notable side character and how they came to be. How some caverns you can only ride mechs on the right side while others you can't ride mechs at all.

the best part about Slugterra is the worldbuilding. I like the way nature relies on the slugs, and it isn't like they're mini-gods or deities, instead there are actual repercussions of abusing them/ghouling then. However, the storytelling needs work. First of all, all the main characters are just invulnerable, like they get punched into walls and can still fight. the only weakness is probably Junjie's guilt, and even in that there isn't a lot of storytelling. like, where are the character arcs?

I heard somewhere else that some of the creators behind this show also made "Storm Hawks". And just based off of what I can remember, I think Storm Hawks is better, but I can see some similarities between them. I would like to see a video going into Storm Hawks as well since it's been a while since I've seen it and would like to hear about it more.

The reason a wrist blaster is good for Slug Fu is because otherwise they'd have to be holding a blaster while doing all that karate

From my understanding the shadow clan maybe have been corrupted by the power balance- too much light can also be bad for Slugterra

The slug fu shared sight is more like ash greninja they are fully connected in both mind and body not just through spirit and thought but they are so connected they are almost the same person and that why they are able to do they’re just syncing to the point there is near no difference like ash and greninja which makes that feel like a rip off of what they did here

Also many think it’s not black that came from the surface which was my thought to but another scientist that came down and married black did the deed she got pregnant then realised how bad he was and left I also think they are the reason he learned how to ghoul slugs cause honestly that just makes so much sense as to why nobody else has done it before and why he was the first too and also why piper is weird as she may have been used as her slug and how she found slugterra but ran with her or she was a creation of hers which also makes sense and can be a way we can learn how slugs gain their powers while also explaining why dr black is called dr as nobody down there knows what a doctor is they know what science is and all that though nobody ever calls them dr and for her to say and tell him about the name and that how he got it would also be amazing and also explain why he likes it more than his other name as it is something to remember her by and a way to show his power cause he keeps vego’s symbol even though it does not at all seem to fit but as a way to humiliate and insult veto as well as a way to make fear makes more sense I also hope they bring veto nacho or any of the other villains back to each or just teach Eli a lesson about how to be a shame a slinger and over come a fight he lost that’s what I want

Honestly if I was to reboot the show, I would go back to using Goon Doc as the main villain, never bring up the eastern caverns, and backtrack to using advanced tech to replicate techniques (the fusion blaster), since I feel the sci-fi aspect was more beloved than some mystic stuff.

Oh and as a whole the show would be slightly darker, because the main audience is now preteens and teenagers, not kids. It’s a pipe dream after all. Death can happen, and should happen. Eli’s dad is definitely given the “mind controlled but then to save my son I kill myself before I kill him” treatment. Let the show talk about heavier topics, make ghouling slugs overtly more like pollution. So many options.

er is it just me or is the last third or so of the video has the episodes all zoomed in?

If i rebooted the show I think i would have junjie as one of the main characters, start him as a villian and then have him redeemed, Digimon Emperor from 02 style
Maybe do more with the cycles since they seemed to have emotions??? Develop more of thr fauna and ways normal ppl interact with the slugs beyond fighting
Otherwise the show is pretty alright

I thought they will travel to the southerns caverns where they only use bow and arrows and travel to the northern caverns where they use blaster that uses Water as a power source

Slugterra could have been ben10 meets Yu-Gi-Oh meets the avatar but in fact it was just another nothing show

I would make the flopper slugs super powerful when they can transform but it requires like a strong bond and the super speed launch

I am so glad you finally talked about this show! When I first found your channel seem like exactly the kind of show you would cover—and now you have! My dad became a big fan from watching me watch it. I’ve got to rewatch it sometime.

Now that I think about it Slugterra has a huge potential as a video game in my opinion. Like, I don't care about the plot here, but if you adapt the setting and the lore correctly you could have Counter Strike mixed with Pokemon with a sprinkle of Red Dead Redemption on the top. Ironically, the biggest problem with turning this TV show into a video game is the fact that it's a TV show and they don't really tend to be adapted into huge, triple A games

Honestly, I was never really interested in the show after season four started no wonder Disney XD decided to drop it Also is it just me or did those ghouls give everyone else nightmares

So in 2022 they actually came out with a couple of shorts (emphasis on SHORT) called "Slugterra: Ascension". And it's so bad, you guys, it's so bad. It's just Trixie and Eli bumbling around doing absolutely nothing, looking for some slug and Locke and Load are there for some reason? And then Dr. Blakk shows up? And it's supposed to be a twist but it's not because they show his silhouette and his silhouette is so recognizable there is zero question as to who he is? Also the new slug is dumb? And also also, they changed Eli's voice actor and he sounds like a Chad. It's bad.

I would do a reboot focused on a new secret fully armored baddie discovering the underground from a surface dweller POV. They are the threat in terms that they are willfully ignorant and rightfully terrified about these slugs and the residents who use them to fight. They report back to base about the danger of both the residents and slugs and lead a larger investigation team to investigate. No one at the base believes the powerful slug bit (a nod to how weird the premise is), but now that there is vested interest in at least the dangerous residents that could lead into solving missing persons cases. The new baddie and their team are trying very hard to capture a slug to send to the surface and our old team has to stop them and try and educate them... If they don't get blasted to kingdom-come in the process.
