It has been a while. Hugs are always appreciated. Kids are great, grandkids are awesome. Decided to not go with the pool after all as I'm old, and I'd rather spend the money on Onewheel stuff.
The ingenuity with this video is over the top, no matter the level of jank with the build. Certainly a very cool project to undertake with limited resources, and using the VESC board as the brake/control was inspired (along with Nico's script to manage things). It was cool seeing a sciency collab between everyone, and let's face it, we're all a bit nerdy when it comes to even wanting to ride these things, even if we don't understand the math behind it all (no worries Julian, I managed to get consecutively worse grades in Algebra C-, D, F... when you had to get a C+ to get into Geometry).
Hey float life I just rode my Onewheel pint for the first time in 6-8 months but it threw me off my board twice in a row while travelling roughly 10MPH. The motor jittered and stopped for a split second. Why is this happening ??
ОтветитьFrom the thumbnail pic I thought you were building a pitching machine… or a spear chucker, like the things they use to test tornado damage by sending a 2X4 through it into a wall or door, etc..
ОтветитьRide a bike
ОтветитьSir buy some 80/20 extrusions and do it properly
ОтветитьThis might be one of my favorite YT videos ever. Big fan of "backyard engineer" content, and this just OOZES it.
Good job.
Julian not behind the camera?!? Definitely need more of this pls
Ответитьmore data yes please thank you
ОтветитьGosmilo! Would love to see if more tuning is possible on one of these
ОтветитьFinally, the piss graphs have been validated
Ответитьput three variable resistors on the three phases of motor leads. Add Voltage and current monitoring on one of the phases and you have your power and 'unlimited' resistance up to the resistor wattage. Let me know if you want help with it...
ОтветитьStan is definitely the man!
ОтветитьKids are good. Float on ❤
ОтветитьYes, yes, yes. More, duh. Thanks guys.
ОтветитьExcellent resourcefulness and data analysis!! I love the vibin' ride vids and challenge vids, but this kinda stuff just spices it up! Great job Julian and team! 🤙🏼
ОтветитьWhat’s the point of this for a onewheel?
Ответитьhahaha love it. For science !
ОтветитьGreat video! Please, do the update with PintS and PintV
ОтветитьLove this!
ОтветитьThis was one of my favorite videos. Helps me understand my board better and how I can push it
ОтветитьReally like this kind of video definitely more please, really enjoyed it!
ОтветитьHell yeah! Love seeing the hard facts as well as the whole diy process behind it. Keep it up yall!
ОтветитьPlease do the GTV!!
ОтветитьCurious about the pint xv on that thing
ОтветитьAdv 💪
ОтветитьVOW GT 100v owner here, she definitely has power! 💪 😂
ОтветитьGreat video! We need more content like this from Julian
ОтветитьGood job! Interesting
ОтветитьI loved this video. Please do more sciencey/geeky stuff.
ОтветитьMan... I wish I had a job here! What a damn fun time. (What's up Bobbert!!!!!!)
ОтветитьGreat video! Excellent content, thanks for explaining the Future Motion graphs.
Please also test the Floatwheel's GTV and XRV ( Tony just dropped the XRV this week for all the XR riders ) and it apparently has more power than the GTS.
DIYers totally here for this kinda content. Do what u can with what u have ❤. Love it.
ОтветитьI would love to see the hub/stator test video on the this bad boy right here
ОтветитьMy worlds are colliding. Love the channel and Nico's Bluecoats sweatshirt! BLOOOOO!
ОтветитьThis style of content is so fun. Where did the last 20 min go?
ОтветитьYeah do this. More of these science videos
ОтветитьAwesome
ОтветитьFucking great video… I recommend more safety with experimental testing devices. A failure could have seen a 20+ mph OneRocket at someone. Hell, safety glasses and not being either in front or behind the boards woulda been… advised. Happy no one was hurt and love the data!
ОтветитьPlease do the Pint X-V on this! Its power is unreal. Tony says it evens it out with the GT-S in power and I think he might be on but confirming would be amazing. Please, Please, PLEEEASE!? ❤
ОтветитьWait the aussie guy with the blue board didnt want it back???? whaaat
also my time to brag is now i went on a group ride with stanley 2 or so years ago at christmas time right when he got a pintx, and he was talking about making a super powerful board and he actually did it
Great content guys! Results look pretty shockingly good.
ОтветитьPlease do more videos. The editing was killer and you’re funny af bro lol
ОтветитьMore mythbustery vibed videos of "idk let's see what this does" plzzz
ОтветитьGlorious Futurama reference.
ОтветитьLove to see data on the various VESC combo's e.g. 84v hyper core vs 84v Superflux.
ОтветитьFantastic vid guys 👏
ОтветитьI don't understand how this works. Does the bottom board's tire have traction beneath it or is it totally suspended on the bearings?
ОтветитьLoved this video, Julien! Really funny and awesome to see "maker" content here. ❤❤
