The greatest era of all time watch a episode of raw or pay per view from that time then watch one of this era and it's sad how bad and predictable wrestling has gotten especially since the last WrestleMania we kno Cody ain't losing the belt till rock comes back and Rhea bein this superhuman is just ridiculous n when she wins the belt back the women's division goes right back down to boring Liv should hold the belt but back then u never knew what was rele gonna happen

to be specific it is the attitude era and first two years of ruthless aggression which was the peak. so 1997 second to 2005 early.

One of the big reason it was successful "they weren't scared of doing frequent title changes to keep things fresh and not drag storylines and keeping things unpredictable aka must watch"

As some one who grew up in that era i did not like because all my 2 favorites hbk and the hit man were gone and in ring rise rock and SCSA were not even top 10 and i said in ring not promo with promos they were top trier!

The attitide era was owned by the WWF but it began when Scott Hall made his way thru the crowd in WCW and gave the You want a war promo

The greatest era! This is not up for debate. I’m 36 now. I was the 10 year old kid screaming doing swanton bomb off of the couch week in and week out. Some of the best years of my life.

ah the Attitude era where homophobia rain supreme and wrestlers suffered concussions so server that it ended up killing them or it ruined there lives in one way or another and oh ya lets not forget the sexism to and the racism ya the attitude era was amazing

Modern day wrestling is garbage and there are no huge megastars anymore. Its really sad to see what has happened to wrestling since the death of WCW & ECW. There's no point in watching modern day wrestling. Its just plain awful.

I'd say the wrestling business in general was at it's peak in terms of fandom in the late 90s due to the Monday Night Wars with 98 being the absolute pinnacle for the business. By 2000, even though the WWF experienced record numbers that year, the novelty of their product and wrestling as a whole began to wear off which is why ratings have been on the decline ever since. That period in time was definitely a great time to experience. It's amazing how so much entertainment experienced their peak in the 90s. From sitcoms, to music, to cartoons, to sports, to networks, to films and etc.

Attitude Era was something else. But I'm sorry, when compared to the Golden Era in the 80s with Hogan, Andre, Savage, Piper, Ultimate Warrior, etc. It's weak in comparison. Golden Era > Attitude Era

Sorry for all those that were born after the Attitude Era ended, or born when they were too young to remember. That was the GREATEST time to be a wrestling fan.

Those guys that came before the attitude era got me into wrestling so props to those guys. My respect to hogan(I didn’t like him) ric flair, macho, ultimate warrior, jake the snake.

fact: I know the attitude era after playing WWE '13 but that game has some changes from the actual event. So, I asked my friend to find all matches related to attitude era from the internet. My friend said the attitude era ended after wwf changed to wwe but for me the attitude era ended after wrestlemania 17.
