Have you guys anything to add to that list?
ОтветитьNew gravity looks good
ОтветитьGreat video! The only nuance I would add is quality control related - you might demo one and love it, but the one you buy could be much different in swing weight. Plus if you need two or three, which most of us do, it's important to try to find a matching service to make sure there aren't huge differences in swingweight
ОтветитьFederer is your favorate player and you play with 2 handed backhands? It does not make sens. And the image that you put in the video first is a bad idea !
ОтветитьALWAYS BUY RACQUETS BASED ON LOOKS!!! Everyone rush now, go get yourselves the new Wilson ProStaff V14. 😂😂😂🤭🤭
ОтветитьNice content from your side, I like your vids more and more - subscribed of course 🙂After years of switching racquets (mainly for fun) I realized that what matters the most is the swingweight that should match to your game style and level. You are a high level competition player - you like the SW around 335, that´s why you like the Gravity so much. I wanted to play it as well, liked it a lot but I had to admit that I´m not that good for it. The weight was no problem but the SW was. So a few months back a Boom Pro got to my hands and it clicked just like nothing else. This one suits my game the most and I never looked back. The DEMO is great for sure but in some areas you don´t have this option at all. Therefore is good to get the racket you want to test from the 2nd hand market for like half the price. You can try it and if you don´t want it, you can always sell it. So keep up the good work, looking forward to your next videos ;-)
Ответитьjust got the v14 and I love it! for me was a natural upgrade from prostaff 100 precision 🙂
ОтветитьHello Mate! Thank you for the video. I just lately switched from a Speed MP to a Gravity Tour. I just felt the Speed MP too powerful, a lack of control on harder shots. To be honest, I am not a crazy topspin player. The Gravity Tour solved that issue, plus it also feels better on my one handed BH. Head's CPI scale helps a lot sorting out which racquet would really fits your style.
Ответитьhi, I'm a good college player who has been player who plays the Wilson blade 18 by 20 however I have been lacking a bit of power and spin in all elements of my game especially when playing very high-level player. I struggle especially on the serve as I struggle to hut aces and also struggle to finish points off short balls due to the 18 by 20 blade being extremely control oriented. What racquets would you recommend I try that don't go to far away from the feeling of a blade but give me that extra power and spin I am looking for?
ОтветитьI have played actively (more or less) for 43 years now and my new racquet is the first one that I have ever bought without any testing.
Best pick of my life period! In any fibre of its frame it feels like made especially for me. Feel, swingweight, stability, polarity, balance, stiffness, weight, handling, dampening, beam thickness, string pattern, quality control (ordered two random racquets, both exactly the same), everything is so on spot like I would never have anticipated myself.
Even if I could have set up the racquet at my own wish, it probably would not fit that well.
Oh, and the paint job is nothing short of spectacular. Quality as well, after two months it still looks like I had not even touched it yet.
So, if you dig into the topic deeply enough, you can pick without testing.
And some demo racquets are just strung terribly, I remember a Pure Strike demo with a crappy string job like I have never seen before. Vibrated like a dildo.
Also, a Gravity Pro demo (which should have suited me very well, all specs were fine) felt like a dead piece of plastic. Badly strung as well.
If I should ever need a new racquet (which I doubt) I will insist on stringing the demo frame myself.
Demoing can lead to a false conclusion as much as not testing at all.
