Excellent Information! Thanks
ОтветитьFinally another ep keep them coming
ОтветитьAbsolutely love this channel/Company.
ОтветитьJust leave this up to the machine shop.
Ответитьgreat vid. more.
ОтветитьWOW!!! Amazing info sharing video, thanks Jay!
ОтветитьJAY! Where have you been ? We miss you.
ОтветитьJay, like the videos. Your bearing size video doesn't take into account some exceptions for the terminology of sizing. I know from experience(not much) that air cooled vw's can use an over and under sized main bearing when align-boring the case. The outside of the bearing shell is referred to as being oversized and the inside, if the main journal is turned, is referred to as being under sized.
ОтветитьGreat informative video for those that do not assemble engines all the time!
Ответитьbig thanks!
ОтветитьJay. Don't hold the micrometer by the anvil. Your body heat will give you an incorrect reading from where you set in with the standard. Always hold the standard and the anvil on the plastic insulation pads. Carry on.
ОтветитьIs it true if you machine a crank 0.010" over, the total crank overall machined was 0.020"? So you would need just need .010" thicker bearings right?
ОтветитьWhy does EVERYONE from REAL ST videos Look so depressed I feel like someone is holding them hostage and their being forced to make this videos at him point .... Omg smile or something at least act like y'all like your job
ОтветитьCan one have the machine shop just grind down the journals for more clearnace if weanted?
ОтветитьI diged that video !!
ОтветитьWhat a good size clearing for a 2jzgte engine?(rods and main) With 1000 hp goal .
ОтветитьNice
Ответитьwell said ....
ОтветитьMy good man! a question: does the bearing clearance effect thrust, or rather the end play/lateral movement of the crank shaft?
ОтветитьLearn so much from this man
ОтветитьCan you build my engine?
ОтветитьWhat is the difference between undersized and oversized
ОтветитьWhat a bloody explanation. Once of the best by far.

ОтветитьHey J, my 2008 town and country use to fit .25mm now when I purchased .25mm bearings it's too tight now. which would be the next size to use and where can I purchase them from? Thanks for your explanation.
ОтветитьMention about loading the dial bore gage too much, meaning no revolutions of the dial, so gage dial spring pressure is kept to a minimum. This keeps you from scratching or marking up the brand new bearings!
Ответитьthank you so much
ОтветитьThanks- for me- this is invaluable !
👍
Could you use oversized bearings for a block that's been line honed and now has too much clearance?
Ответитьsir i need in Qatar
ОтветитьThanks
