My brother and I owned an HVAC commercial ant we got an 08’ and 10’ F150 with the Triton engines. Boy were those two trucks a mistake. The spark plug blew out of the three different times. Finally had aftermarket thread repair inserts installed to the tune of $1500. The top end gave out at 89000 miles. Replaced them with GMC’s and racked up over 239,000 miles with minor problems. Belt tensioner and an alternator, couple brake jobs and whatnot.
ОтветитьI thought this was 3 Fords he would never buy but it seems like 5 minutes into it that he's bragging about the vehicles he said he would never buy
ОтветитьThink about leasing electric vehicles because of repairs
ОтветитьIs that oil cap mislabel an issue on my 19 F150 5.0 coyote engine?? I’ve never heard that and have always used 5w20. First engine replaced by ford under warranty for excessive oil consumption issue. Always change my oil at 5k.
ОтветитьYour motors blown we'll try a software update first
ОтветитьDon't buy anything 'american made'.
ОтветитьFord shouldn’t have called that electric thing a Mustang
ОтветитьI bought a used 2010 f150 super crew cab 5 1/2ft XLT. The AC just isn’t blowing cold enough to keep the cabin cool. I’m getting 60 degrees in the vent with max AC. That’s not good enough for this Texas heat. They fixed a small leak and recharged the AC. Said it was fixed, left… nothing is different. What could it be??
Ответить2010 f150 4.6 is about to turn over 380 thousand miles, Change the oil every 4k miles and use Dura Lube fuel and oil treatment
ОтветитьI got a 2010 Ford F-150 5.4 3L engine sounds amazing but the instrument cluster is going bad and Ford told me it was obsolete and they won't fix it
ОтветитьRod bearings get the most wear, just start using heavier oil once higher miles! Use straight 30 weight; those dumb Bmw owners keep replacing rod bearing to use lighter oil, so DUMB! Probably can not please their girlfriends too! ;)
ОтветитьThree Fords I would never buy. 1. Those made in the US. 2. Those made in Canada. 3. Those made anywhere else in the world.
After 50+ years of continuing to push V8 cars and trucks (like the rest of the Big3) while the rest of the world moved to more technology, Ford decided to boost everything. They don't know how. EcoBoost engines are JUNK. The Japanese and Europeans are experts at small, high power engines.
I wasn't happy when they dis-continued the Ford Escort and now looking at the problems with the Focus. I'm glad I didn't buy one.
ОтветитьFunny to see Scotty say the Mach E owner could resell for $20k profit. How things have changed since 2022. Today Ford is giving them away and they depreciate 50% in two years.
ОтветитьScotty- I'm a mail carrier using a 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK. My route has 652 boxes, and I stop at about 80-90% of them daily. I'm going through the OEM pads in about 10 to 12K miles. Any suggestions? Also, any suggestions for preserving the engine with so much idling?
ОтветитьPile of crap
ОтветитьDidint he say in one video. The same truck that its the only ford he would buy?
Ответить2024 chevy 3500 will fold the mirrors going down the road also.
ОтветитьAvoid the Triton line of engines, they're trash
ОтветитьMy dad bought a 2010 f150 XLT 4x4 with the 5.4L brand new. She’s 15 years old now, I’ve since bought it and the worst thing we’ve ever had break down on it was a blown strut. I’ll be keeping it going for a very long time
ОтветитьWow} Correctly expresses torque in pound feet (torque) instead of foot pounds (work)
ОтветитьThanks Scotty!!Much Appreciated!!! CHEERS
ОтветитьYou are the man 🙏🙏🤣
ОтветитьYou are the man 🙏🙏🤣
ОтветитьLOL it's so you can throw things in the truck bed while you're going down the road the whole window rolls down in my Tundra
ОтветитьThe service plan on my Toyota Tundra is only $8 a month and they'll fix anything on it for the next 4 years. So it's not 8 years but it's only $8 a month so I'm hoping that I can get everything fixed if anything needs to be fixed before that. Which I took it back because the suspension was making noise when I would go over bumps and when I would turn sharply and go over bumps and they said because it's an off-road vehicle that they just had to go and tighten everything up to torque spec because things get loose on the off-road vehicles. So I took it back twice. It's actually still making someone of a noise over the passenger side whenever I start it up however we couldn't get it to recreate the noise when I took it to them so they couldn't figure out what it was. I don't think anything else would have a problem that's the only thing I can think of is the suspension. And I had them change light bulbs on it
ОтветитьThat's interesting the Toyotas are Japanese company but they're built in America and then the Fords are American company but they're building mexico.
ОтветитьAt least the Teslas are made in america. I mean I would say they need to start making the Fords in America instead of Mexico however I feel bad because they need jobs to
ОтветитьIt seems like Ford just wants to make everything harder than it has to be good maybe not everything but a lot of things. Like I change the inner and outer rod ends on my Ford Taurus and the inner rod ends were round on the ends because it didn't want you to be able to fit the giant socket extension over it and unscrew it. They were trying to make it as hard as they possibly could by making it round on the end so that you would give up and take it to them and have them do it. This is a specialized tool at the auto parts store however it didn't work because it would just expand and turn and it wouldn't grip onto the rod end however we learned that we can put two of the pieces on the specialized tool together because they were almost the same size and hold it on there and turn it at the same time and that's how we were able to get them off so the tool didn't even work the way it was supposed to. And the replacement rod ends just screw on. The old specialized tool just goes right over it and it's the exact size that just goes over it and you can just tighten it with the ratchet. It was so obvious that they were just trying to make it harder for you to repair so that you had to take it back to them. That is annoying I don't like that I think that's sort of dishonest. And apparently they fight you on things like if something breaks on your car. I don't like that. It's my Toyota Tundra I just paid $8 a month and they will fix anything on it for the next 4 years
Ответитьscrew ceramic they eat up rotors faster then other pads
ОтветитьWhen did foot pounds change to pound feet? (And why)?
ОтветитьYour thoughts , 2011 F 150 , turbo echo boost , 4./4 with 155 thousand miles . use is occasionally too tow a 22 ft boat , , I had a beater 97 f 350 with 5.8 that I gifted too grandson , He is not local anymore , I used too borrow my truck too use boat , other then that dont need a truck , Presently I rent a U Haul , PU which is cheaper then owing a truck but wanted more options like RV and weeks away towing boat or Rv , Tested truck and it ran fine , 12 grand ???? your thoughts. Old school guy and not up on current crap
ОтветитьThree fords I would never buy, the ones that have broken down, the broken ones, and the ones that will break down.
ОтветитьThis guy scotty doesn't know what he is talking about, he says you won't get stuck in 4 wheel drive, he is wrong no matter what truck you buy you can get stuck, and the older pickup are much better built then these new plastic vehicles, the older pickups had metal and a real bumper instead of plastic.the government and the Manufacturers of the vehicles we buy today are built like crap and cost to much.
ОтветитьI have good luck with my 2014, f150 great truck
ОтветитьIsn't the spark plug issue only on the 2v 5.4s?
ОтветитьScotty your videos are truly some of the best out here.. I'm "old school" when it comes to vehicles. I have a handful.of questions on and for multiple vehicles. I would really appreciate to be able to touch base on the actual phone..
ОтветитьI recently picked up at auction a 1st gen 97 expedition, 5.4 130,000 which is less then 5000 miles a year, the interior looks new, I am a chevy/gmc guy but have had a bunch of ford trucks/mustangs.. I would like to pick your brain if possible

ОтветитьDebating on running this one vs an 07 l92 6.2 yukon
ОтветитьI had a 2013 Focus. Worst car of my life. I still have a 2009 Focus. Almost 300k miles and still getting it. Best car of my life. I’ve heard the earlier Focus models were built on the Mazda 3 platform. Is that accurate?
ОтветитьImagine... 22mpg
ОтветитьWhat were the 3 fords he would never buy?
ОтветитьI never understood the Mocky. It's just a homely suv / crossover and there are already too many of those on the streets ... and it's all electric ... most people don't want that. The Mustang is a real and distinctive car, the Mocky is just ... a Mocky.
ОтветитьI just bought a 2011 F-150 Lariat 5.0. It has 222,000 miles but its immaculate.
Ответитьlol 50k won’t even buy you an xlt
ОтветитьI have a 2017 f150 5.0 4wd… had it from 50k miles and now has 115k.. I only replaced a couple of things on it and man is this thing a beast. Still love this truck since I bought it 5 years ago
ОтветитьI just bought a 2009 F150 5.4l 3 valve v8 Platinum on its second engine, new cam phasers and timing chain, and Melling high output oil pump. I paid $7000 USD. IT's beautiful and runs real nice.
