The biggest missed opportunity of Portal was that they didn’t have server rental so you create communities around different channels. You had to re-set it up every time instead of just letting it run and gain followings.

In the earliest of days portal was the only fun part of the game.

I am so angry that Portal did not go f2p and you had to buy the diffrent set/games in it and there would be a rotation for free 2 play gamers. The idea is so great but no one will play it because bf2042 fucked up so big.

2042 has gotten so much better the last couple updates. Portal is amazing. They also had a bad company 2 deja vu mode.

Ah man, I loved 2142 🥲 I know what you mean about the tank! I don't know about it being pushed forwards as a payload but it could be used as a mobile spawn beacon and you could eject out of it via an escape pod, thing had a lot of health!

Idk about you guys but I’d be perfectly fine with a bf3 or bf4 remaster. Idk anything about development but I would imagine that would be cheaper than a whole new game.

If they had done a long single player campaign, it would have been worth my money.

I wholeheartedly believe that the community would and will make a better Battlefield game if Portal was completely unlocked and everything was available, this includes everything from previous titles.
The ability to literally create your own Battlefield sandbox would be something that I and many others would pay for: imagine players being able to re-create levels from older titles and then charge for people to join. If someone did this for all BF4 maps I would happily pay a subscription to them.

Its a real shame how broken this game was at launch. As someone who spent $160 odd on the pre order just to get royally *ucked by the mess of the unfinished product it really soured BF for me. Its probably alright now but out of sheer spite i wont touch this or another BF release again.

Man portal was the selling point for me , it was just too exciting to be able to visit the old BF games again with the original wrapons and maps but i don't know why it was never completed.
I just wish that portal stays on and carry for the next BF as i do beileve if done right it will be game changer

Enlisted is the best WW2 game, I just started about a month ago and wow.. what a big breathe of fresh air. It really bums me out that it’s not more popular, what’s funny is back in the day we would all say I don’t care about graphics as long as the game is good blah blah blah and then Enlisted comes out and goes virtually unnoticed when it’s probably the best WW2 fps ever made. But I like the developers because they are adding stuff to the game

I wasn't that excited for Portal before release, but after I was pretty interested. I think a big issue is that for the first few months the biggest portal game modes were XP farms and nothing interesting like this game mode. Which... I had a feeling was going to be the case before launch as well.

I have... hope... maybe... that the future games being split between developers means that each developer will be in charge of keeping their section going. Rather than what we had here which was DICE trying to make the base 2042 good, and keeping Portal alive and updated. A lot of overhauling for one studio.

The end is coming, boys.. Battlefield 3 is being shut down on November 7th.

They should just open the game for modding, and it will basically create continous sales and keep itself going with great mods like happened with 1942-2142.

It may be petty but I could never get into BF 2042 because of the cyan UI, It just takes me out of the experience.
