I don’t understand the point of machine knitting. When I make something by hand it means I did the work not a machine. That’s what is called machine knitting not handmade.

Part of the reason why i crochet is because I have ADHD, I bring skeins of yarn with me to school and crochet in class to keep my hands occupied (really keeping myself occupied). I used to bite and fidget with my hands back in 2-5th grade. Two years later I pick up crochet again ever since the pandemic! Now I’m crocheting a FRICKING dress- send help for my fingers

knitting machines have been around since medieval times, even before the sewing machine was invented. Your ancestors would probably be more apalled by your use of such thick yarn, as the main reason knitting machines didnt catch on was because they couldnt replicate how fine of a gauge hand knitters could knit at.
