CAST AWAYS // A Cinematic Poem

I must admit, this video took me a very long time to complete. Three years to be exact. Not because of any sort of complexity with the technical aspects of it, but because I truly couldn't find the right words to end this particular video with. It had been on the back burner for so long that I figured I might as well scrap this project. I tried to grasp for inspiration everywhere I could find, and then it hit me. I thought about what humanity had gone through over the past 2 years and I realized the beauty in beginning again. So I did, and this time around, I found the words I was looking for.

I hope you enjoy the video. It features lots of people near and dear to my heart.

Cast Aways

We could have it all
Or we could be cast aways
Washed up unto a shore of time.
I want to believe that anything is possible. That we could be anything.
That we can do anything.
That we can start over if we need to
Or we can keep on going if we have to
Because flying is so easy when you have wings
But a leap of faith is all the more satisfying when you have nothing to fly with at all.
So take a chance.
And take a deep breath.
And hold on tight,
Because these are the days, we learn to live again.
