HARNDS KNIVES ASSASSIN REVIEW GOOD & BAD

I have this same knife and I was disappointed with it in 3 aspects:
1. its locking lining is very soft, the steel of the locking line has only 48 on the HRC scale, which makes it soft to close (disengage), but at the same time makes it weaker in harder use.
2. The black coating on the blade is made of a "sticky" material, which makes it a little bad at slicing things.
3. The factory sharpening is very bad.

I like long slim knives and I cannot lie, (my apologies to Sir Mix-a-Lot). But i prefer things like the CKRT CEO. This just seems like a really nice gas station knife.

What kind of angle did you put on the edge per side? I have never sharpened s90v before and now it's due. Any recommendation on the edge angle per side?

So report card on this: doing some things right, lotta potential, few things need improvement. Was thinking bout a Harnds as a spare work knife (co-workers need to borrow frequently).

Bang ..here it is. Not exactly my everyday carry but a pretty decent everyday carry depending on what you are looking for.

I'm a fan of harnds. I have the Wind model. It's amazing for the price!

, Off topic... Do you know of a fixed sharpening system that will do small blades. ??? I tried to put a RR Sodbuster in my lansky and NOPE, it seldom ever has enough space for my knives. ??????? I'm gunna fck up some slippers if I dont figure it out...

Really good review. Like the info you gave. Want a slicer though on an Assassin knife yes puncture is good but also need slicing so no screaming as a warning. Like that steel. Need to get a long thin knife.

i can't carry a knife called the Assassin. Imagine if you did you need to use it for self defense...the prosecution will have a field day with that at your court hearing.

Just got one of these in satin and warm sand G10. My only real complaint about it is that I wish the liner lock had a bit more access to disengage, its a little too narrow for my fingers to easily access without thinking about it. Other than that, great knife for the price.

Great detailed review. I am a fan of Harnds knives and just ordered this one in that same murdered out black. I also have the Blazer and the General - both outstanding large folders. The whack on the Blazer is still the best I've ever heard😆
