New Flights from Amritsar to European Countries | FlyAmritsar Initiative| Punjab News Express

Good News for Punjabi NRIs. FlyAmritsar Initiative a NGO is taking pains to start international flights from Amritsar. Sameep Singh Gumtala says Turkmenistan Airline is resuming its flights to Ashgabat from March 7th. The airline had suspended the flights to Amritsar in April 2019 due to a ban by European Union on all its flights from its hub in Ashgabat to Europe including London Heathrow (LHR), Birmingham (BHX) and Frankfurt (FRA).

Gumtala informed that Singapore Airlines group’s low-cost carrier Scoot will also increase frequency of its Singapore-Amritsar flight from 4x to 6x weekly from March 8 till end of March and then again from May 1st till end of August 2020. The said airline operates a335 or 375-seater Boeing 787-8/787-9Dreamliner aircraft on this route. It connects passengers to many South East Asian destination countries including Thailand, Australia and New Zealand.
