I don't like sugar coating and I don't like too much bla bla. Good news or bad news ,I always tell ppl to just get to the point. I don't have time just cut to the chase.
ОтветитьWhy are you sooooooo cute😂
ОтветитьHave to start a folder for Jefferson Fisher! 👏🏼👏🏼
ОтветитьHow do you respond to an “ambush”— something that’s so surprising and shocking but targets all your insecurities. I find this happened in situations especially about parenting.
ОтветитьI needed this, thank you.
ОтветитьMe: The good news is there's help. The bad news is... it me. Ha!
ОтветитьFrom someone who has always had a VERY straight up, dont beat around the bush, kind of mom i would agree. Basically like telling a child "hey, im ripping this band aid off, prepare yourself kiddo." The anxiety of not knowing is way worse. The faster it happens the faster everyone involved can move on.
ОтветитьAnd tell them all of it
ОтветитьI agree. I have to deliver bad news often enough this advice works wonders.
ОтветитьI totally need communication tips. I was raised by wolves. Thanks for sharing.❤
ОтветитьIs it wise to share with your boss if you're going through a series of health issues??
ОтветитьWhat happens when you just give the bad news as quickly as you're able to--what is the consequence
ОтветитьThat’s for sure….don’t beat around the bush!!! Actually I’d rather just hear it… no introduction…no ‘this is gonna be bad news’ etc. just SAY IT.
ОтветитьGenius!!!!
ОтветитьWouldn't it be more direct to just say, "you're fired"? I mean, "bad news" could be anything...
ОтветитьI have some bad news. I put new coffee creamer back in the break room.
ОтветитьThem: "This is going to be hard to hear."
* pause *
Me: "I'm not staying another shift."
Them: * Surprised Pikachu face *
How about I give you 3 choices?
ОтветитьWell said
ОтветитьI enjoy watching your videos!! I’m excited for your next topic on your podcast.
ОтветитьFacts. I’ve done this several times. And it’s so much better afterward. This goes for work or home.
ОтветитьI had to tell close to 100 phone calls that my husband passed away in February. I got screams. I got cries it’s difficult.
ОтветитьRight!
ОтветитьThat’s Useful advice. Thank you again.
ОтветитьExactly, hard conversations are a part of life. Thank you kind human. Pausing till peace comes for me when delivering difficult conversations and we take a few healing breaths together if the person is very close to me :)
ОтветитьI have a new personal mantra for difficult situations.
What Would Jefferson Fisher Do?
How about starting the convo with "Guess what?"
