You only saved one step. I have accidentally changed presets. Pain in the backside. I agree the switches on the right should be programmable. That would be a game changer.
ОтветитьHey Steve what's up bro I just watched your video on the cortex view it's a great idea sounds like a game changer to me there is a couple of things that I would probably do a little different but I like it but what I was wanting to tell you was with the quad cortex I think like you said the two up and down buttons should be programmable I think all the buttons on the quad cortex should be programmable especially if you want more effects in stomp mode I think all buttons should be able to be programmed to affects if You wanted to and just shrink down the screen a little bit and stop mode so that you can see every effect that you program like if you program 10 buttons for all effects then on the screen instead of seeing eight boxes you would see 10 if you know what I mean be a good idea to present to the company You know what I mean anyway that new switcher is the great idea bro keep on rocking
ОтветитьThe best fix would be a direct short from stompbox modus to pedal settings and back. But thx 👍🏻
Ответитьoh yeah! that is a perfect tool. I often want to toggle between preset and scene. pick a preset change to scene!
ОтветитьI just bought my first pedal board, I’ll deal with the size until quad cortex get it’s a wrench feature
ОтветитьUntil they allow assignable buttons you can just take a zip tie and put it around the base of the switch, then you can’t actuate it
ОтветитьYou fixed a problem I never had 😅 But I can see a lot of people benefitting from this! Great job!
Edit: Except the tap tempo preset change!! Has happened to me and it SUCKS. Also pressing the preset down and tap at the same time changes the stomp/preset/snapshot mode and has caused confusion a few times
I’m doing the same with my Mastermind PBC6 or even the BossMS3 (also for the tuner view) but, the thing I don’t really understand is that I often have to click twice for the view to change. As if the first click was to « awaken the machine »..?
Great product idea btw!
This is really sweet! does it have midi thru so you can still receive midi messages to the QC from an interface? Also, what power supply are you using for the QC? That is my biggest issue with this board still.
ОтветитьSo, you basically made a small MIDI controller?
ОтветитьMy volume pedal is on the right side of the unit so accidentally switching patches has happened. And I can see the coolness of view definitely.
That being said; aren’t these just MIDI messages that can be assigned to any MIDI pedal? I have a Morningstar pedal that I don’t use anymore since moving to QC and if I could do this would be amazing.
This device is a game changer!
I’ve been playing at least twice a week at different churches with the QC for the last couple of years and since adding a midi foot controller to easily access Gig/Grid View, Scene and Stomp modes, my experience playing live with the QC has been night and day. I use a large and heavy Morningstar MC8 just to do what your device does. You have a more elegant and practical solution, for sure!
And yes, I have pressed the preset down button a few times by mistake. To resolve that I programmed one of the MC8 buttons to bring me back to my favorite preset, so I can quickly go back to it without having to scramble trying to figure out what I did wrong while playing and trying to hit the right notes!
I do exactly that and more through midi (Morningstar MC6). So really there's no problem to solve if you're a midi user.
ОтветитьGood call mate! I'm personally looking forward to the next generation when companies realize they need to step away from "we're an amp modeler" design, and put the tech into a more tactile, simplistic amp like form... marry the two together, best of both worlds. Does the QC still not have a "lock" function like some other units? Guess it's low tech cable ties around the switch shaft until then Neural...
ОтветитьSo, wouldn’t the m-vave chocolate do the same? Or is the purpose different?
ОтветитьWe should have total control over every footswitch on the QC.
ОтветитьABSOLUTELY ALL ABOUT ASSIGNABILITY FOR PRESET UP AND DOWN FOOTSWITCHES!!
Great product, BTW. Ordered.
so QC need to make another that has 15 switch.. i dont mind. it still compact size. with Expression Pedal on it..mwuahahahha
ОтветитьI had my ‘midi baby’ by disaster area switching view for me for a bit and I decided to just go back to the dual foot switch press to change between stomp and scenes. I’m still nervous about hitting preset down by accident so I save a duplicate preset in that slot just in case it happens… but it hasn’t happened live yet, only when I’m barefoot at home.
ОтветитьIf this is the biggest problem with the QC I think we are all in pretty good shape.
ОтветитьSteve.. I love your content, but this is really 1st world problems here.
ОтветитьHeadrush have handsfree adjustment feature, much better✌️
ОтветитьFor me it was when I switched to A and accidentally full blasted the volume. Had no idea I could Lock off the volume knob. Then when I tap tempo on a 8 note delay song “damn drummer was rushing the bet” I hit the preset down during the tap tempo. Thankfully it was the same amp setup and was not an issue for the rest of the song.
ОтветитьThanks Steve, I have already purchased and received my Cortex View.
ОтветитьGreat!
I wish change the preset toogle to external midi tap
you can program the M-VAVE Chocolate to do the same, its SUPER COMPACT and even has bluetooth and integrated battery. for less than 40$ quite a steal.
ОтветитьMain problem is the price. Most cant afford one.
ОтветитьI got an Airstep today. A programmable midi controller that I will use with my QC. I have the QC on my table and with the Airstep I can controll the looper. So cool.
ОтветитьI've never seen you mention the valeton gp200. I'd love to see your take on it.
Great content as always. I've been subscribed for awhile :)
Really bullshit video again. Commercial products.
Every midi controller can do the trick…
I sold mine and now have the fender tone master pro, love it
ОтветитьLove it, I want one!
ОтветитьI have subscribed sir thanks for the awesome content!
ОтветитьNeat little pedal but many MIDI pedals like the Morningstar MC6 can do this too.
ОтветитьWow awesome, solving a problem nobody has...
ОтветитьOkay, now that’s a very solid device there. Makes it so much faster
ОтветитьI can only subscribe once, man! I'll try twice lol. I dig your vids, you keep it real!
ОтветитьThat's one of the rules when I'm creating a website is the less clicks a user has to do, the better. Especially for your potential consumers. And these days people get bored real quick. So 4 clicks and they're gone bye bye.
ОтветитьIt would be interesting to see a list from experienced QC users of their most desired upgrades/feature additions for those of us that have not yet invested in one. I think the unit is fantastic overall, but there are always improvements and specifically for a gigging musician, your input is valuable.
ОтветитьC'mon Steve are you really complaining for a 2 seconds process?...I can't find anything "new" in your video... you are using an external midi pedal to switch back and forth between modes. So another pedal to add to manage a. process that requires no more that 2 seconds to be done. C'mon Steve.
ОтветитьSteve, thank you for this. Ordered it, put it on my board. works fantastic. You are the man!
ОтветитьI never change presets! Those up / down buttons would be so much useful if assigned to something else
ОтветитьSo cool Steve!!!
ОтветитьBiggest problem is soon, been 4 years and still only 2 plug ins compatible for the qc. Oh but we have a nano craptex. Pathetic
ОтветитьYes yes yes !!!!!!u!
ОтветитьAwesome!!! I want one
ОтветитьI accidentally hit the back button, and it totally sucked 😅.
Ответить14 footswitch
ОтветитьI have problem. When startup signal input output level meter auto -11db and no sound. So I start and push many time untill it ready.
Ответитьnothing that you can't do with a midi pedalboard like Mvave Chocolate
Ответить
