How to BEAT Hand of The King WITHOUT Hits? Dead Cells (2023+)

Beat it semi consistently on boss run, but not on the main run or 2nd door. Can't see where I'm going wrong

Just kill this mf, that was my second battle with him (i did train at boss rush). 159HP at the end of the battle. That was...something.

In the second phase when he does the spike thing, I do exactly what the video says and when the spikes are gone and I land in the ground, I still get hit by the spikes somehow

Are you kidding me? Why the boss is so slow and he stops between an attack and the next one?
I played a lot and he never stops a microsecond!
His attacks are consecutive and it’s hard even to drink the healing potion, because he never stops.
Are you playing a different version? I use a Mac

For anyone struggling, I suggest using the baseball bat and wolf traps, and if possible the freeze spell, the damage of the bat with wolf traps are insane

Note: He can do the three attack sequence in the first phase too

Is there any way to get through the HotK with a range-attack based build?
Eg. last time I had a fireballs + Owl (putting oil on ennemies) build, with which I could roll over all the rest of the game, but against the HotK it failed miserably.
Plus all the stuff that should pin him (wolf traps, root grenade...) seem to have no effect on him.

Absolutely ive been try to kill this boss, but bad thing that i always lost my sight of my chracter or where is it located and i also lost, but ill also try my best to defest this boss.

I try to save my load on my main account to 2nd account, and already doing 5x copy paste till i give up :/

got here on 4BC got annihilated in the first 10 seconds, that was the most mad I had ever gotten on a video game.

I used traps and they worked great sinew slicer and cleaver shreds through hp while I’m focused on dodging instead of attacking I i mean if you only focus on dodging dodging is easier also he’s kind of predictable also they apply tons of bleed so it damages even after trap is broken also some weapons do extra damage to bleeding targets just focus on attack stat because if you don’t get hit you don’t need hp and the stat improves the trap if it’s the right color

I just died to him while fighting with a ice thing, an arrow gun, a claymore, and an ice grenade

I watched this, I went to fight it, it pushed me to the spikes and die
After a 50 minutes run :D

This doesn't work for me he uses all attake before I even get him to phase so 👎

Is this outdated, or not relavent to 3bc, cause he was doing 2nd phase moves before I even hit him

I just got to this boss for the first time and I got wreck my legendary katana didn’t do nothing

having hard time beat him on 1bc :v. well im just that bad

Those flags are still the hardest from this boss.
Sometimes it drop at unconvenience point. He spams it in a row, You don't have a window to destroy it while boss keep spamming his 3 swing or bombs after., It locks your space. It could potentially one hit you up to 1 BC difficulty.

Reached this boss a few months ago and got annihilated. Just today I reached it again and my legendary pan made an absolute joke out of him, lol. (Also, to be clear I don't play this game a lot, it didn't take me multiple months of constant grinding or anything).

I like this vydeo I will try it once I have a time but There is still problem with that I cant dodge his attack AND attack him at the same time so I need like some tips what weapon and traps i need (I have like twenty idk)

Great video! Just want to mention a few things: besides the first uppercut swing, all of the attacks are random. Also, HOTK doesn't do any more uppercuts (besides the very first opening one) on boss cells 1-5.
Also a few tips: for the flag phase, don't worry too much about the flags, just use the time to get in some free hits, but when the time hits like 3-4 seconds, then start killing the flags.
The extra big slam (the one where his hand glows and jumps really high) is kind of weird, cause the spikes can deal damage even when it seems like you came down at the right time as the spikes are leaving, so my best advice is to wait until HOTK reaches the height of his jump, then jump on the ice and stay as long as you can in the air.

I literally had a 5bc run yesterday where I died on Hand of the King.
Hopefully I'll get him next time with this.
