knitting socks - tips for beginners

I am self taught too. Started out knitting baby socks; read lots of books too. Tried the different ways to knit them until I found the way I liked. All my children & grand kids have socks. Like knitting socks with different designs.

Does Jenny May have a YT or IG account? How do we ‘follow’ or hear more from her? 😊 Fantastic video. I first learned how to knit a scarf and then hats, gloves and just picked up socks! The fit and technique for knitting a heel was so intimidating to me that I avoided sock patterns. Funny how it’s actually a very good pattern for beginners! Thank you both!
