[GUIDE] Diablo 2 Resurrected - HAMMERDIN PALADIN - The most played build in Diablo 2!!

I play D2 since its release in 2000s and never played with a Paladin until now. I must say that this was my easiest normal run. Almost all bosses fell after few seconds (only Diablo lasted for 2-3 minutes) Hammerdin is awesome indeed! Thx bro!!

Why Hammerdins so early?…I‘ve done that…got from op to very weak and never having any many for my spells.

Great guide. But if you're a beginner player without all the cool gear I would respec after normal diffuculty (around lvl 40) Hammerdin is a great endgame build but can be a pain in the arse at lower lvls.

Can't take advice of someone who plays offline and has unlimited respecs and character editors.

umm... how do you skip putting points in the lower skills?? there is just 3 skills put in and then you move on but you cant??

U can say everything you want but hammerdin is best spec anyway. I played every class (maybe except dru) and hammerdin for me is most fun build. Loves him❤

How do you teleport? What's skill or item gives it?

Your goal should be to hit 125 FCR and 10K hammers when you reach endgame. You can get by with 75 FCR when you are mf'ing but it gets to be a slog by the time you reach level 92 and want farm Hell Terror Zones. I prefer the prayer merc with insight and a cure helm over the holy freeze merc. You really don't need the utility of holy freeze once you get going. Being always topped off and having the ability to remove poison and curses without activating the aura yourself dramatically increases your clear speed.

Wow I switch my Pal 50 to hammerdin and this build suck so much, completely waste my caracter

You lose so much time positionning yourself to kill ennemies with that stupid hammer that this is probably the worst build I ever seen. And im not even speaking about how fucking impossible this build is on tight corridor dungons

IMO paladin is best when stick with zealot, maybe less damage but at least the amount of time to clear a zone is drastically faster

Hello Mr Llama! I loved this guide, and I've been loving your content for a long time, thanks so much for breathing new life into an old favorite of mine! You're the reason I still play!

One nice-to-have on these guides . . . You could do a section at the end where you got to some of the trouble spots and favorite farming spots for the character. Farming is probably a video all on it's own, but a great example is this Hammerdin who has teleporr, but probably not as fast as a sorceress. So, is this build fast enough to hit some of the prime chests in Hell? Or, does the odd hammer angles make certain rooms especially good or bad to clear? A little explanation on this would be awesome! Especially as the blog posts from the past have dissapeared over the years.

Im wondering if sandstorm treks are better than aldurs boots. Anybody have an opinion on which one is better?

This guide is nice, but it really lacks in the mid game department. Obviously, you can't wear enigma until 65. What exactly would say a level 50~ hammerdin be running gear and stats

I'm on my first playthrough (D2R) so I don't have all this sick gear premade to help level a hammerdin. I have bad mana problems but even then I can still see how powerful this build is

I have played D2 since the day it released, a few times years in a row non-stop, and I have never played a hammerdin, didn't like them, But I'm giving it a shot now hah

I wish I saw the last 30 seconds first. The hammers are useless, they just go in to walls and end. Corridors undo the build.

I dont understand how auras stack?

Absolutely no one gives an approximate base Stat guide for the hammerdin.

It always says enough for this, and enough for that.

That really doesn't help at all, as so many factors and variables can change depending on gear.

In theory, you can just farm gear to get you enough str and dex and then put almost every point into vit.

For the love of christ, can someone please tell me base stats for this bitch of a build?

Hi, thank you for this huge guide! I'm just finding my way around the Hammerdin (just completed Nightmare), and got a Herald of Zakarum! Is it worth using up my 2nd Larzuk quest on it, for just +1 socket and an extra +22 All-Res? Or is there some other "must-have" Unique item I should use the quest on instead? Thanks!

Solved : I answered my own question, as I realized I'm not limited to just 3 Larzuk quests. I can make another HC character with boosted items and speed-run Acts 1-4 + Q1 in Act 5, do the quest on any item I want, then delete the character!!

0str 0dex 0mana all vitality and you can have max block...

DON'T RESPECT AT LEVEL 18! Your character will become worthless and you won't have any more respecs. You need to respec at a much higher level if you don't want to spend the next 10 hours auto attacking mobs.

I’m new to D2, and I have to say most of this video feels like you are speaking in a foreign language. It also doesn’t help that you click around on everything so fast that I have no idea what you are doing. I’ve watched some beginner’s guides and I have some idea of what is going on, but all the acronyms and specific names for everything is really overwhelming. If your goal is to teach, please consider slowing down, explaining more, and avoiding jargon. Not everyone has been playing this game for 3000 hours.

Hammerdin is the way to go, I played thru normal with a zealot, it was so slow and hard, and then once I beat normal Baal and got to nightmare I did a skill reset to hammerdin… it was 10x stronger than the zealot…

New player here, I started my character on standard mode, am I going to miss out on stuff by not selecting the expansion mode? Also what's up with the ladders. Level 12 paladin 💪🏿
