Hot take i actually like this movie dont get me wrong its stupid yeah but the thing that save me from this movie is the brother bond with aurther and ocean master that to me was the best part of the film to me i can understand why people may not like it but the brother story to me was the best part of aquaman 2

Spot on review. I do have to say that when I watch the film I was impressed by the effects and at one point I began laughing so hard well people started looking at me funny. It's the scene where Aquaman is holding his son and they're lying in bed both asleep and then in walks Mommy, played by Amber Heard......she gets a close up and does a slight smile. Ordinarily, this would be touching but given recent events well, I shouted: Look out Aquaman!😂💩

After watching Aquaman, I went "Maybe I should watch Aquaman", completely forgetting that I'd watched it.

Amber Heard only had 4 minutes and 22 seconds in the film, which accounts for just 3.52% of the total runtime. I don't know why people are getting so worked up about this movie.

Just watched it, it felt like a first draft that should have gotten more time in the oven.

The plot feels very "This happens -> Then this happens -> Then this happens" and it lacks connective scenes inbetween. You never really get to see the characters get to know each other or have heartfelt moments, it's just jokes and plot. I

Aquaman's brother never feels like a bad guy that needs to be redeemed, which makes his transformation to being a good guy feel like nothingness. I coudn't buy him calling Arthur "his brother" by the end but not at the beginning because it hardly felt like he had changed.

The stuff about Atlantis being opened up doesn't really feel relevant outside of the first part and the last part of the movie. It barely has anything to do with the villain or the main plot. I really expected Arthur to get dethroned or something to happen with the council, but it never happened.

The theme of climate change doesn't work when the villains are doing it on purpose. Climate Change is about how people are prioritizing their own needs and not caring about the side effects, but Manta causes it on purpose and wants to melt the ices. The analogy doesn't reallt work when the motivation is radically different.

The movie also suffers from the fast travel problem where they go from the poles to the US in like 1 hour.

I disagree this is perfectly in line with all of the other shit movies coming out right now. I thought aquaman 1 was so much better and actually had a somewhat interesting storyline with aquamans brother

Ahhh. The fabled 3% of the time drinker is butt wrong. This is one of the worst cartoons I've ever seen. Wha.... whattya mean it's not a cartoon? I saw it myself in theaters. Unfortunately. Literally nothing but looney toons (fight me Mandela) jokes during all animation.

This movie is so shit that I am genuinely surprise by this very favorable review. Whole thing looks like a fairy tale for below-average IQ gifted 12 years old. It could and should be aired as mid-day Sunday movie on some B-level cable TV. The only thing that could save the movie would be CGI, but instead it looks like video game from 2000s. Just rewatch the scene when Orm and Artur float to this "king" of the shipwreck shithole. Tragedy and 2 hrs of my life irreversibly wasted.

I finally got to watch this movie and I actually liked it better than the first movie. The movie seems like it wants to be Thor and is a totally different movie than the first. The first one was ok but was so long. I watched the first one before watching part 2 and halfway through my girlfriend came in the room and asked is this still the first one? Actually it is one of the better watches for superhero movies I've seen in some time.

The final boss battle with the ancient spirit guy was a complete letdown. It was just a repeat of Harry Potter versus Voldemort. They throw their spears at each other and bad guy goes poof

I feel like all of Nicole Kidman's role here was supposed to be Amber Heard's. And they reshot everything to keep ambe heard away as possible without affecting the story directly related to her. Her being the mother of the baby.

I really liked the movie, only 2 flaws that annoyed me was amber turd and the final fight could've been a bit longer, the main villain had bad cgi, got reincarnated and died immediately.
