What happened on November 1st in Middle-earth?

Smaug destroys the entrance to the tunnel and then returns to his lair. Bilbo goes to check on him and has a long conversation where he notices a weak spot in Smaug's armour. Smaug flies to Lake-town and destroys it. The thrush overhears Bilbo telling the dwarves of Smaug's weak spot and flies to Lake-town to tell Bard. Bard uses his black arrow to kill Smaug. Frodo and company are arrested at Frogmorton.
