The Suns could be title contenders if they could somehow convince Beal to waive his trade clause so that the Suns could get 2 good role players. Booker and KD are a good duo but they need the right pieces surrounding them.

Its just been whole lot of mismanagement from the coach and creating an unbalanced squad from the GM more than anything.

Beal is a scorer, and we ask him to be a lockdown defender and a facilitator. Plumlee is good, basic veteran backup, and we use him for 20+ minutes. Jones needs the ball in his hand, and has been used as spot-up shooter etc.

We are really lucky that our two rookies have connected so well with our Big 2, Oso is not even first round pick, and Gillespie is doing so well in the starting line-up. It is also awesome that Martin has fit in so well already. I just hope Bud finally see sense and trust and develop our 3 kids next to Big 2, and use vets to their strength off the bench, instead of giving them minutes just "coz they need them" or asking them to become something else for "random offense".

Both the Cavs and the Bulls absolutely trounced their next opponent after losing to us, first the bulls beat the pants off a healthy Lakers team by 31, and now the cavs beating the Jazz by 29. The raptors followed up their 40 point loss to us by just barely losing to the Warriors by 3. All 3 of those wins look REALLY good right now.

Having said that, do I believe in them? No, they've been a slightly below average team for most of the season, and were frankly a bad team in February. 3 great games in a row don't erase all that came before.

But do I have a tiny twinkle of hope? Yes. It's worth noting I held out hope for the Eric Bledsoe suns and many other bad suns teams, so I'm a homer and a poor judge of potential when it comes to this team, blinded by my love for it. But when Bud FINALLY did what we've been begging for all year, what he hasn't done since that opening 9 games to start the year when we were 8-1, and played the rookies, the team reminded me why they got my hopes up when the year started. When there's guys out there playing defense, fighting for rebounds, and throwing down dunks, the good things about this team look good again. Amazing the difference not letting opponents shoot half their shots completely wide open makes.

The number one reason for recent success is that you got three young players in Collins, Ryan & Oso doing all the dirty work, with the addition of Cody. While our big play-makers can finally just focus on offense. It helps too when the ball is less in their hands, and more in Collins for lesser turnover. When Book or Durant plays more PG, they tend to lose the ball, which happened during 4th quarter Cleveland game, when the Cavs were catching up.

The Suns are a dumpster fire I can't get excited about a couple wins knowing we should be about 10 games better than we are. I'm looking forward to the off season

No, I do not believe and no one really should. Mitchell had an off game and the Cavs are slumping. Good win, but no single win or even a 3 game stretch should be enough to make you believe in this team again. What the 3 game stretch has given me is hope that Dunn and Oso can be real rotation pieces in the future, which would be awesome for a 28th and 40th overall picks

Gillespie is a better ball handler who is able to get to the teeth of opponents defense without turning the ball over a good shooter and a scrappy defender. Beal is way a better player but for what Suns need. Gillespie is a better fit

This is Gillespie’s SECOND YEAR. Ben acting like he’s been in the league forever. He is 25, so he’s not young young. But he had played 24 games before being on the Suns.
