The surprised Pikachu face was so unexpectedly sharp I spilled my drink, I'm so used to the crappy two-pixel screenshot haha
ОтветитьWell don't forget. Homeless RARELY use money for food, that's what they get EBT for. So the money they get is mostly for drugs or booze.....
ОтветитьDarkFluff sounds like an extremely muscular guy that is really nice and has good morals while also always talking in a soft, friendly and calming voice
ОтветитьMOst of the panhandlers at intersection with signs belong to organized crime organizations.
ОтветитьIf you get crank calls regularly get a real police whistle. It will break their eardrums.
ОтветитьI remember a homeless guy I met at a bus stop saying he was hungry, and I offered to get him food and he accepted. I told him I would get him a bagel from the place nearby and he accepted, thanking me profusely. He was so polite I got him a dozen pizza bagels (the most expensive and tasty one IMO) and he was super grateful. I later saw him sharing them with other homeless people. I gave him a wave and a smile before taking the bus back home. Never saw him again but that was one of the nicest people I have met and I hope he is doing alright.
ОтветитьShe would only get charged with fraud if she was getting paid to be on medical leave. Since it was a car accident and not a workplace incident therefore work wasn’t paying her.
ОтветитьWait a minute. Let me get this straight. You have residents who have the kind of income that allows them to drive cars valued at $200,000........and they live in apartments?
Ответить"Cretans" is wrong, you cretin!!
ОтветитьI can add to phone calls being reported. I have depression and anxiety, and my caseworker ALWAYS knows before I can actually call and reach her if I call the hotline or the warm line or even go to the ER for something unrelated. If you signed the form, you will be reported, and sometimes in extreme circumstances, you will be reported without your consent, they are serious about keeping you alive. It varies from place to place according to law, but if you signed the form, they will tell everyone you gave them permission to tell. This isn't really a bad thing, it saves lives, but maybe think about what you are signing if you don't want saved.
ОтветитьI specifically picked this apartment complex because of its diverse tenants. There are many 1st generation Asian immigrants and Latino immigrants in my neighborhood and I've found that if you want to be around nice people that you should specifically look for areas with high immigrant populations. I learned this by being from Chicago, where there are many MANY cultural enclaves so you are basically living in the United Nations and can experience so many cultures just blocks apart. Why anyone would judge a person by their ethnicity is beyond my comprehension. Judge people on the content of their character.
ОтветитьWait...... People call crisis hotlines to PRANK??? 🙀🙀🙀 I'm an Atheist with a capital A and I still think there's a special place in hell for those people.
ОтветитьFor the title story, when you move to live in America, you become an American. Which America is merely a name and an idea IMHO as the people make the country and they can go to another land without anyone in it and call it by the same name.
ОтветитьThe idea that if someone in need doesn't accept what you decide is best for them is wrong, is fundementally flawed. People who do so rob the less fortunate of agency, it takes the phrase beggars can't be choosers to an extreme. Basically, folks think others must have enough money to make life choices or have dietary restrictions.
ОтветитьI once met an older gentlemen who was sitting alone outside the post office. He called me over and asked if I had money to help him as he was so hungry. I gave him $5 and I talked with him for a few minutes, then I went back to get in the car with my dad. He asked me about it. I still had a little bit of money so I asked dad if it would be alright to go to McDonald's then come back and give him something to eat. So I got him a burger a large fry and a large drink and I went back hoping he'd still be there. He was still there so I got out and I gave him his food, to which he replied "You came back.... and you brought me food?? God Bless You!" He eagerly took the food and spoke with me for about another minute or so before I had to leave. As I was leaving I watched him take a big drink of coke and eat a handful of fries and it truly felt good. That man doesn't know it, but that day I was pretty far gone, I was so lost in my own mind that I hadn't spoken a word to anyone in a week. Helping him and talking with him helped to bring me out of that dark place. I still look for him when I go to the post office but I haven't seen him since. I can only hope that food gave him the energy and strength he needed to get where he needed to go.
ОтветитьThe bum story kind of happened to me twice. The first time was a single black man with 2 little girls. He was asking for money for food for his girls. At the time I was on public assistance so I told him that I didnt have any money but had food stamps and could get them something to eat. He said yes please. I took them in and got the girls each a prepackaged lunch bundle and told him to pick something. He said no, he was just worried about his girls. I told him he needed to eat to keep up his energy to take of them and finally got him to pick out something. We checked out and I helped him get the girls settled on the trunk of his car and while I was getting their food out he had tears in his eyes. Once the girls were done, I went back in and did the shopping I was originally there for.
Now the reason I specified he was black.
A few months later, same store, a white guy was asking for money for food. I gave him the same I have food stamps but no money and can get him something to eat line. He said no, he wanted the money. I said "then you dont want food" and walked away.
I’ve offered or Botton homeless people food before and they always turn it down because they want that cash. I don’t know what they want they cash for, but it must taste pretty damn good.
ОтветитьMoney for homeless is ALWAYS the better option.
Buying them food to "make sure they're not buying <insert something> is no charity or help.
It is patronizing and pushing your own beliefs on them without understanding the necessities of others.
So, let's say they buy drugs from. that money.
Who cares?
You apparently are not missing anything and for them it means a few hours without withdrawal symptoms.
Giving money, no questions asked, is the right choice.
She probably was charged with fraud. That wouldn't be public knowledge though under Workers Comp, if I'm not mistaken it would be a violation of HIPAA. As it is a medical concern even if a violation, however medical law is not my specialty. This is supposition on my part.
ОтветитьLol the crisis center call reminds me of the time a 14 yo chick called my gf ugly (in more words) on Instagram and I tracked down her Facebook using a gamer tag and dog in her profile. Sent her mom screenshots of the stuff her daughter was posting online and went back and wished the daughter a happy birthday. She blocked me lol
ОтветитьThe money on beginning was for drugs
ОтветитьWhere I am there was a guy asking for money and his sign said “ need money for beer” I actually have little respect for him for telling the truth
Ответитьif a homeless turns down a food offer and wants money u can be sure the money would bei either spent on booze or heroin
ОтветитьGo back far enough in family ancestry everyone is a descendant from immigrants.
ОтветитьHomeless stories. I used to work in downtown Houston. I never carried cash on me for safety reasons as I worked until 9pm. I would take the bus home.
I was waiting on the bus one night and a homeless man approached me. He asked me for food, which I had none as I was just leaving work. He then asked me for cash so he could buy some food. I had none.
He then proceeded to ask me “Got plastic?”
I was very confused. I’m not sure if he wanted me to give him my credit card or if he had a card swiper built into his armpit.
I just laughed and got on my bus.
There was a movie, Interstate 60, where one of the characters encounters a panhandler with a "will work for food" sign. The character is a no-nonsense type that is very serious about being sincere in what you say. He gives the guy an apple and says clean the windshield of my ride's car. (At a gas station) Guy refuses saying he didn't want the food, just wants money to buy booze. The sincere character is like, if you had asked for beer I would have gladly bought you a six pack. The panhandler refuses and well... Watch the movie, it is an intense scene. That movie is a great movie, I love it.
ОтветитьYears ago in Florida. (Florida has more panhandlers than it does residents.)I was at an intersection when a panhandler on crutches who is missing his leg from the knee down came up. Excuse me? Yeah, what’s up man? He told me that as I can plainly see his life hasn’t exactly been great since he was missing his leg. And that he wasn’t going to try to lie to me or bullshit me. He said, look man I just want 10 bucks so I can get some beer. I looked him dead in the eye. Handed him $20 & said thank you for your honesty. You’re a good guy. He smiled & probably went to go get his beer. 😎
ОтветитьLel don’t the people in the first story know that America is built on immigrants
ОтветитьI went to eat at Taco Bell and there was a woman with a couple kids. Mom was holding one of those signs asking for money. Instead of giving her money so after I was done eating, I bought several tacos and a drink for each and I took them to her and handed the kids theirs. She got pissed at me and said she was asking for money not food. My response, I told her I didn’t do this for her I did this for your kids cuz god knows how long they were there. I couldn’t believe how she got pissed over it. Bitch needs to learn to be appreciative and not complain. 🤦🏼♀️
ОтветитьAs someone who has experienced homelessness when I would sit and read outside a business, I'd take whatever assistance I could get. Be it food, money, or a motel room. There are people in my town who would rather be homeless and get their next fix.
ОтветитьWhere I live at they are like that to. ask for money for food but really they wanted to go spend on beer
ОтветитьI like the part where he tells the upstairs tenants that security won't be responding to any complaints for the next 14 days, sounds like he's giving them permission to be as obnoxious as the people below claimed they were.
ОтветитьThey want the money for drugs or alcohol
Ответить1. I hope the Asian couple will sue for defamation (slander per se) and perhaps other actions, such as nuisance. Their state may also have hate crime laws. Why sue? A. Make it easier for future victims of the racist couple to receive justice. B. The Asian couple deserves compensation for loss of peace of mind/enjoyment of life while they were under attack.
2. The “back pain” fraudster is guilty of moral turpitude and should never again be entrusted with a managerial position. That goes for all the politicians, government workers and others in positions of trust who are also guilty of moral turpitude.
Story 1 - I used to get these scum begging for money “for food” and I would do the same and offer to buy them food. Except for two instances, they would say no. All they were begging for was money for booze or drugs. That’s why the “homeless guy” said no.
ОтветитьThe homeless guy didn't want food — I'm guessing he wanted the money for drugs and just used food as an excuse.
ОтветитьOkay, Fluff, here's my homeless person story:
I was working at the local Hardee's at this time. During August 2020, a couple months after I got hired, I walked into work about 45 minutes before the start of my shift to find an apparently homeless broke drifter asking my manager ("Missy") if there were any old burgers they were just going to throw away. She's telling him they didn't at that time, but even if they did we aren't allowed to just give stuff away (because cameras), and anyway if it's too old it might cause food poisoning and she didn't want to do that to him. By this time I'm at the register. The guy was starting to walk away disappointed, and Missy came to the register asking if I wanted to order. I got the guy's attention and called him over. I made my order, and as he got there I turned and asked him what he'd like. He was surprised at first and kind of stammered a bit, so I suggested the Monster Double, the biggest burger we offered at the time. He recovered quickly and asked for lettuce and onions on it! I said hell yeah, then asked if he wanted fries and a drink; he said yes please, so I added large fries and soda. After we got our drinks, while waiting for the order he was telling me about the run of rotten luck that put him in his current situation, and how he was trying to get to Browning, MT (this happened in Great Falls). I actually had some cash on me, so I ended up also giving him ten bucks just before the order was ready. He kept saying "Bless you, sir" and "You're truly a good person, thank you so much!". I said it was no problem, and I wished him all the luck in the world getting to Browning. At least he left happy.
After he was gone, Missy said she was impressed that I'd do that for someone I didn't know. I've been at low points myself, so I do have a fair amount of sympathetic understanding for getting run over by Lady Luck. Anyway, with my employee discount, I only spent about six or seven bucks on the food, and I figured what I did was the kindest method of seeing the guy on his way. I never saw him again after that, and I really hope he got to Browning before autumn hit.
because lady they eat asian food not amercian food
ОтветитьThis last story reminds me of my "karen" when I worked as a shipping clerk. She said she was a "Princess & could drain me dry" etc. She hated me with a passion--she finally got her karma as she was dying of ovarian cancer! I forgave her for everything tho. :)
ОтветитьI've done the "I'll buy you a meal" since moving to Riverside California in 1991 and here in 29 Palms since we moved here. In all those years I've only had one person take me up on the offer. Some have been people with little kids. One guy told me he didn't like Jack in the Box(where we were) but he would take the money and go to McDonalds. I said no problem I'll buy him whatever he wants at Micky D"s.and then come back to Jack. It was no problem since they were basically across the street from each other. He said that was o.k. he didn't want to inconvenience me so I could just give the money. to him.I told him no and he cussed me out. Jack was on one corner, 2nd corner was a liquor store, 3rd corner 7-11 and 4th was a car lot. My mom taught me well on many things in life! Such as ALWAYS stocking up on things you use when they go on sale. (She had 6 boys and 9 years later me.)In the basement at home there were 1-2 cases of each type of vegie & fruit. Cases paper products. Put it this way in 2020 when the shortages hit I was stocked up on paper goods and BOUGHT NONE that year. Had enough 90/93% (?) rubbing alcohol could make my own hand sanitizer so didn't buy that either.
ОтветитьAbout the guy who asked for money in front of McDonald's I can think of 3 things what the guy wanted money for, 1 drugs, 2 cigarettes, or 3 booze.
ОтветитьOh come on why does it matter if there asian!! I mean Jesus they haven't done anything at all to bother you or make you life hell and you want them evicted just because there Asians? Racist Jerks!!
ОтветитьI used to get coffee before going to work (night shift). This place I got coffee, a gas station, had sketchy people hanging out there! AI dude asked me for money for a beer I gave him enough for one, I admired his honesty When you have a heart to give, and you do, that is where your responsibility ends. What the person does with the money is on them!
ОтветитьIn my city, there are so many homeless people. I never gave anyone money. But I remember that there was this one older man that I often passed on my way home from work. Myself and others would give him food and he was always greatful. Unfortunately, I haven't seen him since early pandemic.
ОтветитьPranking crisis lines really should carry the same penalties as doing so to 911
ОтветитьI don't believe any beggars because every business has signs out saying "WE"RE HIRING"
Ответить
