Timothy B Schmit does an excellent job singing lead with the Beach Boys covering Caroline No. Brian also said it was written about a woman that he knew but wouldn't say who because his wife would not understand.

I don't have the musical knowledge and skills to call a song the best, the greatest, or whatever. But I can say that "Caroline, No" is absolutely my favorite Beach Boys tune.
