To those who are new to the game:

Xur is a vendor that comes around every Friday and disappears every Tuesday. he will appear in one of three locations (nesus, tower or edz) and he will sell a multitude of items that can sometimes be power and sometimes be weak.

The items he sells is:
1 Exotic weapon
3 Exotic Armor pieces (one for each class)
7 Legendary weapons (with random rolls)
DMT & Hawkmoon (with random rolls)
3 full sets of armor (one for each class)
2 Exotic engrams (one bought or legendary shards and one for a Exotic Sypher)
1 Quest which grants an Exotic Sypher as its reward
