I'm 56 years old, and if I could back in time and redo my life, I would focus more time on fulfilling activities and chosen a less stressful career. My advise to the younger viewers here is to set up automatic monthly deposits for your retirement and emergency fund even if it's a small amount. Enjoy your youth because life will go by faster as you get older.

I defiantly have struggled with this the push and pull of going towards quitting my job and going for my passion but also the comfort or security blanket of climbing corporate ladders feeling stressed and buying shiny things.

I had a scarily similar situation at the beginning of 2021 as well, at an internship that was barely paying anything, but I had the luxury of living with my parents. With that being said, that experience taught me what I don’t want nor like to do and that, I think, is valuable in itself. I’ve also realized that I love doing things myself which you can’t really do when your time is spent on a job. The fast, time crunch way of life, for me personally, is also unfulfilling.
