Eurosolos from 'Solos of Fortune' is a fun look at a whole different world of Cyberpunk.

"Good and bad members of the media." Oh sweet, innocent, 90s...back when there were still good members of the media.

Is it funny that cyberpunk works as a prequel to fallout?

It did not stand in the shadow of shadowrun. It was the originator of the dystopian future gaming. Shadow run came after it and it was only because you had elves arks. And trolls. You know magic is why it was never as popular.

The 2020 core book was also released as a box set, not just Land of the Free. The screamsheets are loose, not bound in the book. I've got it on my shelf and keep my Interface magazines in it.

The cop rules sound like they would work far better if you treat police as a supplementary/gestalt class rather than just a new one, so you could have a techie cop, or a netrunner cop, etc... with each player able to use the badge as needed.

Mr Welch, is there a reason why the EuroTour section is completely Black for Video Images?

Did the original video get flagged or was this simply an error with the video editing software?

It's been so long since the original video was released that I just do not remember the video, but i remember the audio of it.

The great thing about Cyberpunk setting is you can use headlines to just write scenarios. The idea that an Ashley Madison type operation uses actual AI girlfriends as a selling point and no they are trying to escape, the war in Ukraine is being fought by drones to the extent humans are a rarity on the battlefield, not only are people just famous to be famous there are celebrity avatars that people can audition for and play the role in real life. So many ideas...

I like the Cyberpunk game, I just don't care for the setting. I'm not really into dystopian settings, unless it's Warhammer 40K or Paranoia. And all of this is not without really trying. I've read two of William Gibson's books, Neuromancer and Mona Lisa Overdrive, I've seen Blade Runner, TRON ,Lawnmower Man, Strange Days, and, of course, The Matrix, and I've even read some Shadowrun novels. I just don't like cyberpunk as a setting. And I'm a huge sci-fi nerd, and the biggest Traveller fan I know.

To be fair, if I had to choose between Cyberpunk and Shadowrun, I'd choose Cyberpunk any day of the week and twice on Sunday. As much as I've tried giving Shadowrun the good-ol' college try, I could never like it because it was just so chaotic and dark, as a setting. I remember once I ran the game, set in Seattle, and had described a bright, sunny day, clearing out the smoke from the Redmond Barrens, and people were chipper. And that was more interesting than the published adventure I was running. Cyberpunk is, at least, a setting where the sun could shine and the world isn't so crappy.

There are only a few genres that never really interested me. High fantasy, steampunk, cyberpunk, Vampire (both versions), and Battletech are among them. I call Battletech its own genre because there aren't too many settings quite like it, and my knowledge of combat and logistics conflicts with that game.

I'll be honest, I didn't watch this. Cyberpunk just isn't my thing... or any non-D&D-based game or genre, for that matter. But here's a comment for the algorithm. You're welcome.

The OG setting was a lot of fun but did have issues. There was very little wireless data access. Mobile phones were in the book but were oddly expensive from memory. Nothing like smart phones. I dimly remember that you could do remote netrunning in the expansions but the difficulty was horrendous and had chances of dropping out. I remember trying to encourage the PCs to buy phones and install character programs onto them to act as managers and to encourage PC communication (not legit rule wise but I was bending the rules-why can't I have my boring professor program answer the phone and take messages?). It seemed odd having netrunner being a thing but making decks so weird and expensive. If no one can use the internet but the chosen few who is it for? It made me wonder what the Interface ability did if you needed it to do anything in cyberspace... even copy a file.
