Had this game, vividly remember that line of sight shadow. Great effect and mechanic!

Funny enough, ever sinces it release i heard about it and onces in awhile im like a yes nox i should play it once.
like to day i was watching a video about old school rpg and nox poped up again in my mind

Nox was always awesome. I don't regret downloading it on morpheus back in the day.

An absolutely outstanding game. Loved it when I was young, love it now. It all just clicks together. A true gem.

Nox Never Fades! The story.... played with every character was deep, fun and touching! This wad my blink 182 lord of the rings epic!

Nox and Wheel of Time are two of my favorite games of the late 90s/early 00s that I never played until much, much later. It's both a shame that neither caught on as well as the more popular games of the respective genres (Diablo 2 & Quake 3 Arena), yet it's great to see that communities around both games continue to present day.

This game deserves to have a REMASTERED version.

I bought this game back in the day. I was a fan of Westwood, so when I saw this game in a magazine, I didn't hesitate. I think it's fair to mention that this game was originally not a Westwood game. Westwood took it over and helped to produce it. And it's simply awesome. The amount of detail that went into this gem is incredible. Every little item down to the fruit end barrels is just exquisite. The sounds are top notch, the gameplay is top notch. It still is a game that is engraved in my mind, and is even playable today.

I got soooo many memories of Nox, I played it with my brothers together and it was such a great experience. Not only experiencing the game but spending time with my brothers.

Its one of my favorite hidden gems of all time👌

By that time I played both Nox and Diablo2, TBH I am so confused why Diablo is so popular among all my friends while Nox has much better gameplay, especially in single player mode.

I've heard about this game for ages but never really gave it a shot. I came here to see what all the fuss was about since it's on sale at GOG for about $1.50 and thanks to this review, I think I may have to go for it. It sounds and looks great!

I played Nox when I was younger, and recently as an adult decided to go back and try Diablo.

Having first played Nox, Diablo is ruined for me. It seems so slow and stilted in comparison. I've replayed Baldurs Gate a million times, I don't mind a slow game, but for a big dumb ARPG, it was no bueno for me. I think that's the biggest compliment I can pay Nox. Just starting a replay now, it is just as fun as it was back then.

Wow, I remember my big brother use to work a Sam Goody and they use to give away stuff that wasn't selling. He brought Nox home and I remember going to my aunt's playing it for hours. I wasn't into Rpgs or PC gaming but I enjoyed this game.

NoX is incredible, one of the best game i've ever played

Got given Nox by my shady neighbour on a USB when I was a little kid. And in highschool I shared it with my friends to play multiplayer death matches. Now I'm 25. Getting pelted by goblins smacking walls.

cnc-ddraw is everything you need to improve your experience with this magnificent game. There are other fixes, but this one is the best because it's more straight to the point.

This RPG is not like Diablo or etc. When you use spells, you hear all spell casting, all signs that you must do. For me, it's the first RPG that I love. If EA had rights, they just destroy many games like "Nox and "Red Alert"... Westwood and Red Alert were very popular... but whatever we talk about money, not the gamer's wants...

When I was real young, my grandfather would play Nox on his home computer. Whenever we would visit if he was playing he would let me and my brother help him. He'd give us each a key and have us watch his health and mana bars so we could activate potions for him when the bars got low. He passed away when I was in the 4th grade. A few years later in high school we found the game disc and I got to play it again for myself. I've always hated EA for killing this gem.

This game will never fade in my memory. God damn this game is still god tier on my list after all those years. Playing this when i was only 5 years old awakened my undying passion in gaming and im now 22

This was a great game for its time. I think it got the wrong end of the stick back in the day, but im glad there is a group of enthusiasts working on opennox_hd keeping this game alive

I always thought the conjurer was the easiest with the summoning and the op bow and crossbow. Either way though, the mage is easily the hardest as you start hitting difficulty curves a few chapters in with bandits that will pretty much 2 shot you with bows and you have limited mana.

Another Gem destroyed by EA Games

This game kicked ass man. I played Warrior first, Conjurer second and had a blast, and then Wizard third and holy shit was that playthrough a challenge. Wizard was absolutely busted in Multiplayer and that Co-Op Quest mode they released a little later though.

My buddy was one of those 600k units. I borrowed it off him. Never did beat it without cheating though.

This is a terrible tragedy. I can't believe that this is called retro. Retro to me is like Pac-Man and Space Invaders.
