WOW!
ОтветитьGoing to try this out! In your overall work, are you going to be fully transitioning to only using this, or would you say the use of the DCTL depends on the project?
ОтветитьWould love to see a comparison between jp2499 vs teserract
ОтветитьCheck out the dctls from Mononodes too 🙌🏻
ОтветитьGod, i love smart people who build things like this.
Ответитьwhoaa
ОтветитьI really like JP and OpenDRT but I still don't find them there for HDR deliveries, seems like everything is a little more confusing than with regular color management there. Great video!
ОтветитьNice!
ОтветитьA pizza pitch, now there’s an idea!
ОтветитьHmm the jp is awesome but i find annoying when im balancing the image the colors goes crazy because jp is trying to curve the colors towards yellow and the blue to cyan like the kodak film 2383 so personally people should have that in mind but anyways is a good drt overall 👌🏽
Ответить😍🙏
ОтветитьI’m confused, so if I use this DRT , I don’t need a CST to rec709 ? Thanks
ОтветитьAnd I'm learning with you! Thank you very much!
ОтветитьJust tried it, definitely didn't work as I intended it to
ОтветитьI heard Cullen Kelly mention this as well. Thanks for making a video about it so I can learn about it too.
ОтветитьWhen I see some of the Big Hitters in Colour Grading discuss this version of gamma curve then I will consider it. But at the moment I'm happy with using CST's.
If colours are too saturated, it only takes a second or two to make them play nicely in the vectorscope.
❤❤😂😂😂
ОтветитьNice content Frenchie! Thanks for sharing it!
ОтветитьIs this still valid for color sensitive applications?
Ответитьit can create artifacts in high satuation when making all the parameter to "0" value
ОтветитьGreat video, Chloe! I'm so gutted this DCTL didn't work on my system (Windows) for some reason when I tried it. It looks really nice.

Have been using that lol you just discovered that choel ? wow is amazing tool i got to know about it on reedit when he posted that on the forum, thank you for explaining the use frenchie
lil Frenchie!! live this drt.
could you do a breakdown of all the controls, also, if I'm going for like a black bypass, should it be after the drt with all that color separation or before
Very interesting approach, I will try to apply this to my footage and see what it does! There is a typo in your video description. We must download the file JP_2499_DRT.dctl and not JP_24499_DRT.dctl (with two 4s)
ОтветитьGreat work! I feel I am getting smarter with your videos … but only time will tell.
ОтветитьInteresting
ОтветитьIMPORTANT NOTE :
To download the dctl please click on the link
Double click on the folder “Davinci Resolve”
And download the DCTL : JP_24499_DRT.dctl
If the download file has an extension “.dctl.txt”, remove the .txt in the extension to install it in Resolve
