A Message from FPD Officer Zach Robinson

On July 14, 2023, #FargoPD Officer Zach Robinson took heroic action to end the threat of a gunman who opened fire while he and fellow Fargo Police Officers Andrew Dotas, Tyler Hawes and Jake Wallin responded to a seemingly routine call for service along 25th Street South in Fargo.

We were honored to work with Officer Robinson to produce this video to afford him the opportunity to share his thoughts and perspectives from that fateful day. Officer Robinson touched on many aspects during this video, including what it means to him to be an FPD Patrol Training Officer, how he continues to daily process and relive the critical incident, his unwavering commitment to a public service career in Fargo and the degree to which he appreciates the support of our community throughout this difficult time.

Officer Robinson’s courageous and swift actions during this critical incident helped save the lives of Officers Dotas and Hawes, as well as countless others in our community. We are forever indebted to the heroism, selflessness and bravery exhibited by Officer Robinson during one of the darkest days in our department’s nearly 150-year history.
