Here is Larry Richardson live from the Lake Norman Music Hall
Terrell, NC in November 1967. This was done during the Story of Bluegrass Segment done by Carlton Haney (who does the narration at the beginning of this recording), and was featured as a guest with Bill Monroe's band. Bill plays some mandolin on this recording and Kenny Baker is the fiddler. Larry played banjo with Bill Monroe for about two years in 1952 and 1953 after leaving the Lonesome Pine Fiddlers.

One of the absolute best NC mountain banjo pickers and hard-core bluegrass singers. Career with Bobby Osborne, Lonesome Pine Fiddlers, as one of Bill Monroe's bluegrass boys and then with Red Barker. Larry became a Christian in 1970. This is real-deal American mountain music pickin' an' singin'.
