How to get side work

Talked to a friend just chilling out he brought up his step dads car needed work, I changed out the pitman arm for him after that the guy trusted me with anything else on his truck. I got a call later from the man asking If i could find out whats happening with his truck cause he was hearing a sound while he reversed, I changed out the ebrake pad and bracket and it went away... then he had me change out his hub bearing assembly also I made some good money on all that from just one guy and now he trust me for his work but yea im still learning so far every job i done i have done pretty good tho oh yea i changed his wifes water pump also lol

yeah crigslist and offer up app.
they think you are poor and just need a dollar. or they set you up with the job and a day and time and they bail when you call them to confirm.

I need help charging for oil changes. because oil is expensive already. on sale you walk out a auto parts store paying like 40 bucks. and then what kind of oil? do I go cheap? to keep a decent profit? some cars require the full sythentic then that less money for me.

does this also apply for plumbing work, like residentiial, unclogging drains fixing leaks etc.... just on the side cause i dont have plumbers license.
