It's only a matter of time until overloads are put in the game now. It may not be as soon as the next two years, but given the progression of gear, pvm, and pvp content. Overloads are in fact, only a matter of time, granted they pass a poll of course.

I said the same thing about nex coming with torva, virtus, and pernix. Though I wasn't entirely correct, Nex still came, along with torva. Virtus came through dt2. I was called crazy for thinking and saying this years ago.

Getting really sick of master quests .. every time I get my damn quest cape I end up having to spend days trying to pass the stupid new bosses that are far too hard to be a quest boss !

The most used server will definitely be gambling related. Which might be a good thing? No more gambling on the regular servers, bond + hosting money for jagex. Might get some bad rep with it. But there might be more ups than downs.
The most popular server is already in the hands of settled. This is going to be so great for the content!

We wanted OSRS because fuck RS3. Now here we are getting copy/pasted bosses and mechanics.

No thanks. I am not even a PVPer but I do not think this is going to be a healthy inclusion.
In general the entire premise of this Wildy boss seems like a bit meh. It pretty much locks the best PVP damage nukes behind this content, which you now HAVE to do because it is foolish not to get the buffs if you are PVPing. I guess that is the goal but it will likely be controlled by some PVP clans cause there's only 5 of em in all the worlds combined.
It also fucking sucks for wildy clue steps if that boss happens to spawn near that point and a bunch of players rush in and see you as a passing snack.

Private servers? When Project Zanaris is the name I was hoping WE WOULD ACTUALLY GET A FUCKING EXPANSION ON THE FUCKING MOON OF GIELINOR, DAMNIT. That's just a disappointment cause I also do not care for private servers.

The quests tho, I am hard for those. Only sadge that the old storylines are still stuck in 2005. I would love more Dwarven quests. Make Keldagrim good for more than just Blast Furnace. Expand on the Zombie Pirate quest while this sailing flop is going on. Maybe expand the Sea Slug quest too while you're at the sailing port.
I feel like a healthy distraction from the Mahjarrat storyline is in order in the mainland.

Nah but that private server announcement is legit a death flag for osrs. If they follow through with that then osrs has no future. You aren't going to have players spending thousands of hours in the main game to build an account get items when they can just do it instantly in any private server. mmorpgs are already way less popular these days because the grinding mentality is not popular anymore. If you give people a choice to just skip that and still get everything with no effort you are going to absolutely destroy the playerbase of the main game.

Even on top of that the whole summit gave dead game energy. A wildy boss for bots and gold sellers 2% of the population. Leagues cool but its a temp game mode. Where is the actual content? Valamore a mid lvl group boss so wont hold players past 1 week. A herb minigame which will likely just be more expensive and slower than training herb while bank standing and another agility course they call mid-high lvl so in other words not competitive in any department. Less xp than other courses and less money than other places. Then we get a rs3 port quest again and a giant boss which is again likely mid lvl content because why the hell would a fire/ice giant drop any gear above lvl 75.

Idk what jagex is smoking raising membership prices then dropping the worst summit ever lol. Then again if private, sorry "community" servers go through the game is dead anyway. May aswell quit and go play a private server now. Only difference between private servers online now and the ones jagex will give is you have to pay jagex 15 dollars a month to use their private server.

The interest for custom servers was surveyed in a yearly survey last year.

I don't currently play OSRS, but I'm looking forward to the Curse of Arrav quest. 😀
Also the Zanaris Servers sound really interesting, can't wait for more info on them.

boy i sure love them nerfing content from 2002 and then re-releasing it as new in 2024 pretending they did something while fremmy crafted sets, bloodbark, and all the other gears are completely pointless items in the game because no one is reasonably going to use anything besides mystics -> ahrims , rune -> obsidian/bandos , and the only reasonable of the three THAT CAME OUT ON RELEASE they nerfed instead of bringing other things in line with the single 1 to 70 ranged armor sets while pretending that RUNESCAPE 1 armors even remotely make sense to have 99 smithing to craft level 40 defense gear.

Thanks, for the summary! I think selling servers may bring in some good money for Jagex if they rent them. I'd like to one day get an equivalent of Warcraft Rumble and Hearthstone to RS but who knows

Im still waiting for the loadout sets. Gearing up for your favorite boss in 1 click. Even pvp will profit hugely from this. Since the lesser experienced players wont have to go trough the haggle of regearing again..

hopefully sailing gets scrapped. Ain’t no way you guys think that sailing will be playable in a game that gets updated with the server every 0.6 seconds. Have you guys done any of the awful quests with boat controls or wind speed. Awful.

Flipping, why not invest in dragonstone boots. They are crazy limited leas that 2k total in game? They could be some great investments? Imagine 50 people buying them all up?

Having a tp that works anywhere in the wilderness will be the end of the wilderness unless they atleast put a combat timer on it

Dont have time in life to play osrs, why I lean heaverly on rsps, looking forward to seeing where jagex private servers go.

I like the idea of wildy tele tabs that can be used anywhere. It's gonna piss off your typical deep wildy pker but it's gonna attract a lot more people. I can see it being hella useful for the Rogue's chest, resource area, fountain of rune, lava dragons, etc.
