I come from 2 of the oldest and at one time most famous and well respected families in the country going back to the mid 1600's. We held very prominent positions. The Continental Congress, court judges, political offices, etc. My 5th great grandfather fought in the Revolutionary War. What Damon says is EXACTLY the way I was raised. Hearing Damon's words is almost like hearing my late grandmother speak. Like it or not, that was simply the way it was in our family.

I am constantly reminded of this scene, because it was so widely shared, even though I've never seen the movie.
