Everest Vs Fortuner is right comparison

Take ages till they reach to Prado ..

Ford always put bigger engine just to fool customers that it's better car then others .

Falcon 4.0
Commodore 3.6

Hilux 2.8
Dmax 3.0
Ranger 3.2

Fortuner 2.8 4cyl
Prado 2.8 4cyl
Everest 3.0 v6 😂😂

Toyota is showing its desperation trying to finish the Everest. Prado is a failure this time n Toyota is still charging over 100k for this. Shame on Toyota.

Everest is good when in warranty and if the stars align, so that the electronics all do what they're advertised to.

off-road, the evberest has no suspension travel. it has road car suspension travel on the front, and less than IRS travel at the back, while still having the drawbacks of a solid chassis (wobbly handling, extra NVH, smaller body height/interior room). well done ford.

if i'm taking a car to remote areas, or owning it for many years, or want legally applicable support from the company - i'm buying a prado (or any non-ford 4x4). ford are a terrible company when it comes to warranty support

source: next gen owner for last 2 years. have driven a bunch of rangers and everests in that time. ex dealer staff, who had to work with ford on many warranty requests. i ended up leaving. i worked at 2 other brands and it was waaaayyyyy better.

So Prado gets launched and toyota is paying to get positive reviews ......... suprise suprise. The Prado has alread be shown to be suspect in water killing the Prado, amongst other things. Yet you load up the Prado up using all its technology and you dont use the all the Fords technology what a disappointment, your river crossing is a no more than trickel. So the question remains here is why do you handy cap the Ford with diffrent lines and to be honest quiet inept driving. What a bullshit review. Engauge normal mode instead of slippery on the hill are you kidding yourself what modes were engaged when you did the puddle crossing? Tyer pressure monitoring is a gymic and is more of a pain in the ass than a usefull object, especially if you do off road the vehicle. Lets look at the usefulness of the boot anyone......... look im not suggesting that the Ford is the ducks nuts but the Toyota isnt that good and has many many flaws.

Test drove both cars.
Everest interior doesn’t feel comfy and interior looks a little cheap IMO.
Prado interior more comfy and looks luxurious, seats hug you better. Everest better off the line due to the V6 engine.
Can’t go wrong with either but will take home prado just because of horror stories dealer experience. Prado has also its reputation to go 100k without major issues in most cases but not 100%. Family has both Ford and Toyota, Ford customer support is not the best and fix whenever there’s issue takes longer.

As a long term user of vehicles, I’d prefer the plastic steering wheel, because they don’t suffer from delimitation (peeling) that you get with Toyota and other brands. Toyota wants a ridiculous $2000 for a Corolla steering wheel plus installation. Oh what a feeling, go jump, l say to that price.

To be honest I took both for a test drive. The fords v6 engine is a gem on driving . If you are someone who don’t worry about ownership headaches, resale values and more interested in driving with adequate power/torque, just go ahead with ford. I have booked Prado and n waiting list and was exploring other models like new Isuzu mux xt, Everest platinum, Mazda cx80. There are a lot of options there, but apart from 4 cylinder engine, I believe Prado is worth it. We are sticking with our Prado plan. It’s just personally your call, just note, every car have its on pro and cons

It's quite easy to pick if the family wants to keep the vehicle for a while. I guess this segment did not cover a big issue on the on goingreliability of one of the cars. All you need to do is check out what has been said by many.

Everest is better packaged, better in 99% of driving scenarios and cheaper. No brainer IMO.

How can you and Evan say the ford isn't as good off-road? you're using traction control witch is always on in the Prado, due to no diff lock and then going in with a open diff in the Everest you put it in a crap spot then u complain it cant get out good enough... how about we talk numbers about how much more off-road modes and how the ford comes with a diff lock and the Prado doesn't ?
we (chasing cars) would chose the Prado because its a Toyota and even though this thing cost 100k+ and doesn't come with diff locks its still better than the ford because it has a Toyota badge .... you guys and the public need to stop giving them pats on the back for 100k 4cly under powered bucket.... then maybe next time they will bring out something worth talking about.

Quoting manufactures fuel economy data are just wrong and lazy. The Prado real world economy are not 7.6L/100km, I'm seeing other reviewing sites quoting around 9.5-10.4l/100km and that's not including Adblue. It sounds like Toyota are paying these reviewer's to say BS information for some favours.
