I’m sorry but the movie was a bit of a mess. Really bad pacing and editing at times (the bit with the Inuit woman riding on the snow felt more important than the death of Ethan’s arch enemy for god’s sake) and the feminist pandering was so blatant it’s as if they were required to have a woman be looking “badass” in every single scene.

If you ever get a chance, watch the commentary tracks on the MI blu rays. They're a lot of fun and McQuarrie seems to be one of the few that can get him to open up

I love Mr. McQuarrie's arc from an Artiste who worships the word to a kind of disillusioned script doctor to this master craftsman. Also "Edge of Tomorrow" is one of the best scifi movies ever made, it's shockingly good.

People are saying McQ is a great writer, he may have been... but what are his excuses for creating the "Entity" plot and poorly written characters such as Gabriel and Grace?? Also the Entity liaison... insulting to intelligence! 😂 Folks, this film and DR should be shown in film school as what NOT to do! Its a textbook failure in every way! Yet McQ provides no answers to his failure? He can't blame delays, Covid, etc. The story and script are just words! 😅

Its so insulting how Tom says to bring the audience into the characters! 😅 Grace and Gabriel were the most poorly written characters I've ever seen! The ending... seriously!? Episodes of NCIS have much more satisfying endings! 😅 Tom says to enjoy it! I hated it. I felt enraged by how poor quality it was. I really hope this flops!

why is there house music playing behind this conversation

The cinematography was adequate; the stunts were entertaining; the different locations were a treat; the scenery was delicious; and that was it. The plot was ridiculous. The story line was like a ball of string all twisted on itself, with little clear direction. The characters were 2 dimentional plastic boards, the most well developed character being Claire, which is kind of indicative of the depth of everyone else's character.

There is not a single character in the entire Mission Impossible franchise that I feel attached too. I don't miss any one of them. I don't grieve that I will never see one of them again. I don't feel an emotional loss that I will never see another new mission impossible again. Please let this be "The Final Reckoning." I go to these flics because I am a fan Tom, but "The Mission Impossible" franchise, has never failed to disappoint.

The introduction of this movie, where you Tom, tell the audience, that you risk your life out of your commitment to entertain, felt like a underhanded apology, or explanation, for why these mis adventure movies have turned out so abismally.

Tom you have been indulging in narcississtic behaviour. These great and wonderful adventures you've been on have not created great movies. Good for you that you're having a great and memorable time. You deserve this. I hope the movie kills at the box office. I do. I route for you to win. I hope you become a billionaire because of this franchise. Now please, stop the foolishness and do what you are good at; creating characters we love, and sometimes despise; telling storeies that are actually great entertainment. You have done so much better.
