It must be incredibly stressful for a fish though to have to be constantly looking over their shoulder for a predator that will eat them. What kind of life is that for an aquarium fish? Aquarium fish can die from stress. Keep turtles or fish, but not together.

Hi I have a question for anyone that might be able to help me. I have 2 red eared turtles in a 120gallon heated indoor pond. I also have have 1 Blue Gourami fish who has been by himself in a 40gallon aquarium for over a year now. Due to either out living or bc he harassed every fish he has ever been with including other gourami's. My question is would I be able to keep him in with my turtles in the pond to free up the aquarium space for other fish? Anybody's help is greatly appreciated!!

Yo basically just get a fish bigger than the turtle, same thing for my giant gourami and res turtle. No aggression at all

I had goldfish bigger than my turtle and he one day I guess hit puberty and ripped their fins off and one drowned, had to put the other ones in the other fish tanks to cute, now I have a goldfish tank and both my turtles live alone. My newer snapper had a little microbiome going on now

With mud/musks it really pays off to stick with female convicts. They're tough, prettier and yet not as relentless as the males.

I think there really can't be fish friends in the tank... Even if they coexist for some time, it's a matter of time and growth before the tables are turned. My turtles will annihilate 50 fish in no time flat. They are the fastist fish, but the turtles chase them to exhaustion and finish them off.

I keep my fishing baitfish in the turtle tank. Fathead minnows, shiners, creek chubs, etc. They're all usualy fast enough to get away from my 5" painted.
