2026 GMC Terrain AT4 - POV First Driving Impressions

Miss the 2.0 turbo in the terrain. They were really fun to chuck around.

I don’t understand car companies squeezing more and more power out of increasingly smaller engines, just put a turbo 4 cylinder or V6 in it and call it a day

Under powered, bad fuel economy and only 7.9 inches of ground clearance on an off road model. Many better options.

1.5L, my motorcycle is larger. 🤦‍♀️

I’ve always liked the look of the Terrain over the Equinox and I’d say that continues. Though I wouldn’t buy one, you can get a better crossover from virtually anyone else. I’d say this one is for GM diehards, and people who happen to work for GM.

Can't believe they offer a Denali version of that ecobox that doesn't even get an upgraded audio system.

Imagine if this Terrain had hybrid system components from Toyota and combine it with GMC's AWD system. That would solve everything for power, fuel economy, and capability

A few things I would have liked to see with the AT4. Make the wheel fender trim flat black/unpainted compared to what we have. The other would be a revision of the lower front lip to allow for a better approach angle and to allow those tow hooks to stick out a little better for ease of connectivity. Better powertrain performance also goes without saying. Honestly I would just save a little money and go with a Nissan Rogue Rock Creek probably. If you absolutely do not need something of that size also north of 40K is Bronco Sport Badland territory.

Decent interior for its class, the powertrain though is very unfortunate. Would be surprised if we see these on the road with more than 100k miles.

I'm surprised every time I see a GMC SUV; I constantly forget they exist because I just never see them. The Terrain name isn't familiar to me in the slightest, even.

That "Mustang" Mach E display just doesnt work for me

The audio controls are in the music page, but probably have to select something other than CarPlay to access it. Probably won’t make it sound any better though.

I hope you could review an older terrain with the 2.0 turbo. A huge difference in comparison for power.

The Acadia might be a decent vehicle if GM would put a decent engine in it instead of the 1.5L turbo, which is a total piece of junk.

Top trim just to get a 1.5T 😂😂😂
