Just wondering how old you are as you are making this walk, just curious. As I am 70 and can't imagine myself making this walk. Also just wondering where you find places to use the rest room along the way. Just thoughts that come to my mind as I look and listen to your journey. Be Blessed.

Arkansas hospitality. I have always enjoyed that state. The cable system in the guardrail end. Slowes the vehicle that hits it down at a non fatal speed, at least that is the design. It is best not to hit things that are stationary when driving... drumstick, but I would not be able to eat the cone and that would be a waist. The Oreo cookie ice cream is a no go because of the gluten. I imagine in the next few weeks fall color will be coming on on your walk. I think this week will be peak color for where I am. About your future walk idea, I've thought about that. Have a rule where, when you come to an intersection roll a dice. 1 to 3, right turn. 4 to 6, left turn. 7 to 9 straight. I think that plan would be pretty risky when it comes to finding water.

My mother made us "black cows," rootbeer with milk in it. It was like a float, but not as sweet or cold.

On your story about picking up bottled water along the road, there is a guy on here who walked 90km? to work one day. He left the house with some clothes on, no shoes, and picked up what he needed along the way. He consumed some pretty sketchy stuff. Beau Miles is the guy's name.
