Hey all you fellow drummers. If you get these, you can throw away all those RemO's and ZeroRings and E-Rings and MoonGel and pieces of tape and old leather wallets and all that other crap you crud up your heads with to deaden overtones. You won't need 'em anymore. This head is the end of the line as far as sound control is concerned. Without question, THE most elegant solution to any sound control problem. And if these are simply TOO dead for your tastes, then step down to Studio X or Pinstripe or the like. Trust me. If dry is what you are looking for, this head is the last word in dry. And by the way, I do not work for, nor am I endorsed by Aquarian. Also, do NOT believe the YooToob video purporting to show little or no sonic differences between different types/brands of drum heads. I'm sorry, but there is just something WRONG with that video. I have tried out many of the heads he tests, and the sonic differences are not only real, they are NOT subtle. I don't consider myself to have "golden ears" and I could hear the differences with great clarity.

I used these as tom heads and they sounded fucking incredible. Kind of wish you could get them in more sizes.

You need either this head or the Evans Genera Dry. Either would be great. The Focus X is a bit more dry (less ring) than the Evans.

I really like the Evans genera dry head for my snare, it's probably slightly more suited to lower tunings, but really kills the overtones and gives a hearty, warm thwack!

Hi, i have a 12inch mapex chris adler snare, i just bought 2 snare heads from another brand and they sound terrible. Im thinking of buying this snare head or is there something else that is more suited to a 12inch walnut snare, as i have no clue. i dont want the overttones, i just want something that can be tuned a little high that has a nice sound. cheers
