You don't have a clue what you are talking about. Get sprayed with both then make this video. Mace is way more effective, I HAVE been sprayed by both.
Mace just has to be in the air while pepper HAS to be in your eyes. Mace immobilized me, pepper spray did NOT

I had a can of bear mace one time and a guy at a party said he could take it, so we tested it. He failed and I even had him close his eyes and I sprayed him on the body and not in the eyes. He ended up stripping all his clothes off and running around like a fool. When he jumped into the shower the water made it worse. I miss college.

My dad was a postal worker and they used to all be issued a can of mace that was attached to their work belt. It was to be used if they were attacked by a dog primarily. But they could use it if a person attacked them if they gave warning before using it. My dad also had a gun he was allowed to carry when he had routs he was required to walk, but he had a permit.
