Can’t stand soda can you use bitter lemon, 7 up or lemonade???
ОтветитьI didn't know it had simple syrup - I always just thought it was a Gin & Tonic with carbonated water instead of tonic water. No wonder I never really cared for these. I think the simple syrup probably makes a big difference.
ОтветитьWhat the F woman! Just tell me how to make the drink!
Ответитьis soda water the same as club soda?
ОтветитьIf you ever have the option. Use calamansi. Either fresh. Or quick and dirty with premade juice.
ОтветитьShe licks the 😢bar spoon
ОтветитьI tried making a Tom Collins using my favorite gin, Tanqueray, and I thought it was just OK. Then I bought a bottle of Old Tom (Hayman's) and tried it the way they made it back in the day. What a difference. I put it in my rotation.
ОтветитьBastard version...Sprite and gin.
ОтветитьGood tipsy drink great cocktail making
ОтветитьI'll always think of Homer throwing a bunch of cloves and tom collins mix together when i hear of this cocktail
ОтветитьThat was my very first cocktail drink😋
ОтветитьI've used your techniques and teachings to improve my bartending at my lounge and so far I've collected a pretty good amount of frequent flyers. So much so that I'm no longer considered a new bartender, by their standards, and surpassed the other bartenders who've worked there for a bit.
Seriously? Thank you so much for these videos, you're god sent. I love your touch up on their history, your explanation of the tastes and overall chemistry break down for these drinks. You've helped me improve my craft and I get better every single day with new drinks and practice.
Thank you so much! 🥰
Absolutely gorgeous: check. Foreign mesmerizing accent: check. Knows her way around a bar: check. Had to watch this more than once tbh. The beautiful angle made something in a glass that involved ice cubes, a lawnmower & some rubber bands. sigh gotta watch this again!
ОтветитьSo, it's a bit like a gin & tonic. I like the simplicity and freshness of it.
ОтветитьBRILLIANT! I tell SO many people that they should put the sofa first so that the carbonation rises through the drink giving it a natural mix
ОтветитьGreat video! Thank you!!!
ОтветитьI am in Love with the host 🥰... Great Video ✌️
ОтветитьOh get to it
ОтветитьTy for the recipe. The Tom Collins is the lemonade of cocktails. Easy, sweet, refreshing & perfect for summer.
Ответитьway back when it was called "Gin and Collins" = Gin + Canada Dry Collins Mix.
but today Canada Dry doesn't even make "Collins Mix" anymore, instead, they changed it and renamed it to Canada Dry Collins Mixer -personally, a poorer taste choice.
Thank you!
ОтветитьGreat video, I picked up some useful tips and made my best Tom Collins yet! Thanks
ОтветитьI've been shaking my Collins lately, can you tell me the benefits of building/stirring the cocktail..I'm curious to learn..🍋🍒🍹
ОтветитьJust made one perfect end to a long day
ОтветитьOh man, this brings me back to so many hangovers... As I was aged 18-20 and just learning to drink, this was my favorite. About 30 years ago.
ОтветитьYour explanations is awesome 👌
ОтветитьThis is an absolute no baloney comment. I had a roommate who’s name was honest to god Thomas Collins.
ОтветитьSo it's a Gin and Soda, rather than tonic, and a cherry to garnish.
ОтветитьBy the way, a vegetable peeler is most adequate for extracting citrus peels without the extra effort to subtract the white bitter part.
ОтветитьHow about a proper "Caipirinha"? Mind you, it is rather complex to assemble, with many secrets and details. But a good caipirinha can almost rival a proper Pisco Sour, the world's greatest drink. Which, by the way, I noticed is quite absent here. Hm... Anything against South America? of course not; it is just too far away from magic Scotland, but those two drinks alone deserve attention.
ОтветитьNice video: well shot, clear and straight to the point! Wish I could be drinking a Tom Collins right now haha. Lovely accent also!
ОтветитьIt is 7AM as I watch and I now want a drink, a Tom Collins. Thank your
ОтветитьArggghhh…..dam metric measurements
ОтветитьWell you are a pretty cherry garnish yourself now aren’t you? Thank you. Lovely vid 👊🏽
ОтветитьCan't beat this classic! Cheers Cara
ОтветитьCara, I love this drink. Please try my variation that I call Saint Tom where I replace the sugar syrup with 30ml of St. Germain.
ОтветитьSo good👍🏼👍🏼
ОтветитьHer voice is like the TOm Collins, so refreshing. I will try this style tonight, I always pour the soda water last. Thank you! Subbed.
ОтветитьNice video - waiting for summer and I will also mix it! Thanks :-)
ОтветитьHi dear , i am in just awe of your videos! one question - Can we use honey instead of simple syrup ?
ОтветитьHaymans is an excellent choice! Have you tried their newer products? The barrel-rested gin is stunning
ОтветитьWhat is Exactly in your opinion the difference between gin fizz And Tom Collins?
ОтветитьI always enjoy your videos. Thank you. Cheers!
ОтветитьI'm new here, I love her voice
ОтветитьAre you Australian or Scottish?
ОтветитьShe is very easy on the eyes... And I love her Tom Collins!
ОтветитьYou can cheat with gin, lemonade and a splash or two of soda water.
Ответитьlol... she said pop your cherry ...
ОтветитьThanks for the video! I miss a bit of info on the soda water though. Is it just water with bubbles or is there Any flavour in? Thanks
