I removed the cmos battery from the back of my mother board I think I must of changed something in my bios because I booted up my pc and it’s like windows wasn’t even installed into my computer. I’m gonna put the cmos battery back in now and see if that helps with my bios settings and I’ll subscribe if this does help.

I have a problem with the lan there's no light from the board when the lan is plugged in so i tried to fix it in different ways but nothing fixed it so i heared that if i removed the cmos battery it may work but my motherboard is aorus b450 elite and my cpu is r5 5600 so my motherboard needed a bios update to work at first so my question is if i removed the cmos battery for 5 minutes will my motherboard reset and need a bios update again or it will work normally plz i need help❤

Hello l'ami, je suis un bleu en informatique, j'ai une carte mere asrock, j'avais 2 disque de 500Go en RAID, je l'ai fais supprimer et depuis mes disques ne montent pas, je les vois dans gestionnaire de peripheriques, je les vois dans diskpart/list disk mais je ne les vois pas comme le disque C dans une fenetre; quand je clique sur gestion de l'ordinateur ou gestion du disque ca tourne puis rien aucune fenetre ne s'affiche. Comment regler cela dans le bios ? Aussi dans le bios quand je mets en AHCI, il relance le pc et systematiquement ecran bleu, du coup j'ai mis en EDI mais bon ca mouline pas comme je veux car je voudrais utiliser mes HDD de 500Go chacun. Tu peux m'aider svp ?

I have been searching for answers after believing I bricked my motherboard for so many frustrating hours. This worked (for those continuing to have issues, make sure you have everything put back together... I had dismantled a lot which didn't allow it to load). 7/19/2024 I too experienced a AA trouble code on a B550 Aorus Master w/ 5600x. What led up to this code was a series of crashes that I noticed first in the web browsers I use giving me the 'Aw Snap!' notice. Over the past few months I would get a crash screen and the monitor would go dark.

I didn't understand how this was happening because all my drivers and Win11 updates were all current and everything was running on all cylinders, so what's the problem? Well, after much research I narrowed down to a CMOS reset, and this kept failing, so what gives? So I took a battery tester and the 2032 CR battery was dead as a wooden nickel. So a quick trip to the store and repeating the CMOS reset process seemed to solve the issue...

I highly recommend you try this simple solution first before messing around with anything like flashing your BIOS, but be sure to go into BIOS and make sure everything is working and the BIOS is current or needs a flash, also double check your divers, this may or may not solve your specific problem, but it worked for me. Hope this helps fren.

No shot, I’ve look for hours on the solution for this and this guy with this video absolutely worked. I guess resetting with a screwdriver on the cmos works and when I booted it up, my pc turned on again with the monitor. Thank you so much!
