I always choose an alignment and tell myself my character has to behave a certain way before sessions...but I always end up playing a Chaotic Good lunatic. I guess it's just fun to act as an insane person with a good heart. 😂
ОтветитьI like Chaotic Good for an earlier version of battle rules: unless attacked/ambushed, roll to see if you join the fight; for chaotic evil, you make 2 rolls (first for if you join the fight and second for whose side you are fighting on). I heard conflicting things about chaotic neutral on whether you roll to determine which side you fight or not.
Because I cannot keep to a code, I would not be lawful, however I like to use rules against people. "You can't do that, it's against your code!" and "It doesn't say I can't wear (A) or have to wear _(B)_, so I'll be following the rules listed here and wear (A)."
What alignment would Martin Fierro be?
ОтветитьI think of my character as a lawful neutral, with the "law" in this case being his personal code of morals. He's a cowboy type of character that can sometimes lean towards the Robin Hood side of stealing from the rich and giving to the poor, but because he is wanted for deserting the army he's unwilling to help people if it's likely to get him captured. Also, because he has a bit of an unhealthy fixation on protecting his honor, he won't hesitate to use violence on anyone he deems to have injured his pride.
ОтветитьI just started playing dungeons & dragons yesterday my friend sent me this guy and I'm just amazed on how well he can explain the game
ОтветитьMy main take away from this video is that evil is always funnier than good
ОтветитьI'm Lawful Chaotic and my wife is Evil Good.
Ответитьmy Alignment is bard ;)
ОтветитьUm, actually, the deck of many things can change your alignment 🤓
Ответитьwired thing about star signs. I was talking to a some stranger (in real life) and they randomly correctly guessed my birth month and attributed their guess to my personality because of star signs. wasn't even talking about anything near it.
ОтветитьRemember, as with most things, even the individual squares are a spectrum. A stalwart paladin of the realm is just as lawful good as the heel wrestler who takes his opponent out for drinks afterwards. Even though he doesn’t want to conquer the realm, that sleazy shop owner who hikes up the price for any customers under four foot is chaotic evil, just like your average lich.
ОтветитьJojo
ОтветитьAlignments prevent character arcs in my opinion.
ОтветитьHere your nards chaotic lawful and lawful chaotic no those are not the same thing the fan-made backsides to the chart buy the memes lawful chaotic is your chaotic because rules lawful chaotic is following rules to t except nobody knows what those are except maybe you.
Ответитьwhy yes, of course i pause on the monster hunter weapons alignment chart :D
Ответитьim jo plant
ОтветитьI know JoCat will probably never see this, but I want to share knowledge I’ve obtained where I feel it’s applicable.
Comedy of this vein will offend a few uptight a-holes, but that’s why the rest of us are laughing.
So be venom or be spider man
ОтветитьMe playing Lawful Good character and being hated by the rest of my DND party
ОтветитьStill the best overview on what alignments mean.
ОтветитьThx JoCat
ОтветитьFrom the very beginning, he calls it a CRAP guide to D&D, and yet some people still take the time to attack...smh...
ОтветитьChaotic good sidegrade, means well but is stupid af
ОтветитьAlignment chart is the best personality chart.
ОтветитьAs a DM I give alignments sliders. Pure Chaotic is -25 and Pure Lawful is +25, Pure Good +25 and Pure Evil is -25. So if you're 9, 25 would be nuetral good.
ОтветитьIn my campaign, we have a druid that's a homebrew race called a shroom (just a sentient human sized mushroom with arms, legs, and a face), and their alignment is true neutral. The player picked true neutral not because they didn't want to commit to any alignment, but because the character is neutral about EVERYTHING. It's really creative and a good idea
ОтветитьSo, what I’m hearing is…
Lawful good: morally strong methods for a good goal
Lawful evil: morally strong methods for an evil goal
Chaotic good: morally questionable methods for a good goal
Chaotic evil: morally questionable methods for an evil goal
I’m watching your videos as part of my self-obliged training to DMing my first time. From this video, I have decided to make all my players take several online quizzes in-character to determine their alignment, rather than allowing them to choose
Ответитьtheres a fine line between lawful neutral and chaotic neutral, my character uses this line like a fucking jump rope
Ответить"no one picks LE"
Me, with at least one LE character: am i a joke to you?
HEY! (Offended in Libra)
ОтветитьGreatest explanation ever in new to dnd and allways got confused
Ответитьthat lego set was personal
ОтветитьHablar así de rápido es necesario?
Ответитьi picked LE X'D
ОтветитьLOL. I always picked Neutral Good, because I figured it would give me the freedom to do whatever I want, still telling myself I'm the good guy 🤣
Ответитьthe thing is a person isnt usualy only one thing, i fith both lawful evil and true positive/good
ОтветитьI flip from lawful neutral to lawful evil on the bread chart.
Han Solo
Sword and Shield true neutral
Neutral Good, Toilet paper chart
Neutral Good, to Lawful Neutral on hamburger chart
I’m currently playing a true neutral character. I consider them more like a wild animal. Where they don’t really have a grasp and do things purely out of survival. They aren’t chaotic because they have no reason to be and they aren’t lawful because they don’t have a code they adhere to they live each day trying to survive. And I’m so excited to see how their alignment changes as they get used to the party and learning what the party values.
ОтветитьYes cat
ОтветитьMy mans speaks in 1.5 speed 😂
ОтветитьTbh i find that alignment would be a lot more compelling if it was used as some sort of "general reputation", like the vibes your character gives, not necessarily representing one's self but like... a way of better showing a character's social aesthetic and how people tend to react to it, taking into considerationthe actual reputation, it would be a lot more useful imo.
ОтветитьU forgot hungry
ОтветитьThanks for the quick explanation I was lost lol
ОтветитьWe all love you Jo! Keep making great content and never stop! ♥️.
ОтветитьI'm too perv – my character is chaotic lawful
Ответитьmy real thoughts on using alignment: don't
just play your character to whatever their personality is and don't worry about alignment!
