I don't think it's a nose, personally. Very cool to get a fingerprint, though.
ОтветитьGunging print
ОтветитьRun the print to if there’s a match. We know our prints are unique to the individual of our species but would that also apply to other species also or would there be a match to a member of another species or more?
ОтветитьDo you suppose Neanderthals were in any way aware of their impending fate?
ОтветитьNevertheless........😮
ОтветитьNice 👍
ОтветитьModern man and woman are actually the most aggressive warring hominid created by this planet ( or god ). And look at where the warring has been going on since recorded history. When did the negro color turn to the paler colors and did the white color come from the caucuses? You have to be created to be a creature
ОтветитьWe still use ocher paint connecting us with our ancestors who used red and yellow ocher in cave paintings. Artists' palettes include raw/processed ocher pigments such as yellow ocher, burnt sienna, and burnt umber. Like the olden days, raw sienna and raw umber are heated to create a deeper, warmer (color theory) version. Artists rely on these earth colors because the natural world mimics these colors. Animal pigmentation and some plant pigmentation (like bark and some foliage) is based on iron oxides (rust aka ocher).
ОтветитьI thought that the last Neanderthals lived until 24,000 years ago in the South of the Iberian Peninsula ( Nowadays Spain and Gibraltar, and the South of Portugal ). For sure I think Clive Finlayson found something NEanderthal of 28,000 years ago, but I think he said maybe it´s of 24,000 years ago.
ОтветитьPrimates have human like fingerprints too. It's not surprising that a Neanderthal would have fingerprints or Homo Erectus or other homonins.
It wasn't a thumb print on a flat smooth surface. If you look at high resolution images of the pebble, it has an irregular surface which captured partial finger ridges. It looks like arch ridges and no whorls or loops. That's rare among modern Homo Sapiens: only 5%. One would have to examine the rest of the finger prints along with other individuals to come to any conclusion.
Thanks, if that's the case, then it's a sad fate.
ОтветитьIf we interbreed, we cannot have been thinking H. s. neanderthalis were brutal or unequal. They were not savage, stop this old fashion wiew
ОтветитьAnd you know it's Neanderthal because ...
Ответитьlooks like bozo the clown
ОтветитьNeanderthal artist looks mad
ОтветитьNa he cut his finger and touched a rock
ОтветитьMost archaeologists can always come up with a second explanation and do
ОтветитьIts clearly associated with the rudolf the rednose reindeer legends ...
Clearly H neandertalensis had same abilities and cognitive complexity, self delusion, paranoia, superstions and fan fiction sci fi flights of fancy and sales and marketing that H sapiens is so proud of.
LoL ✌️
The 21-cm-long pebble isn't from the cave but got transported from a river in 5 km distance. It is thus possible that the object with the fingerprint served a ritual purpose. Whatever might be the case, the fingerprint is not the first attempt by the artist, since he doubtlessly knew the outcome beforehand.
ОтветитьIt's a funny thing. I'm much more interested in what an analysis of the fingerprint might say about it's owner than the fact of it's existence beyond the spectacular chance that such a fragile thing could last so long - as a default I expect Neanderthals to be cognitively capable.
Simplistically most Neanderthals had larger encephalization quotients that most Sapiens. So I've never understood the presumption that they were 'dumb', making each revelation a surprise. Better to assume parity and be surprised where that seems not to be the case.
I'm glad to see this channel is slowly, but surely gaining subscribers, it's well-deserved!
ОтветитьUmm....you know you contracted yoursrlf there towards the end, but great video still.
ОтветитьHighly Speculative.
ОтветитьThese people did not exist.humans have existed less than 8000 years according to god historical records.whare do these people get these huge numbers from.😮
ОтветитьArcheologists can find "meaning" in anything, or nothing.
ОтветитьIn our province, rust colour soil is called oer, maybe from oker. Painting your face is still a habit with the begin of spring.
Ответить12,51 Nevertheless ....... what?
ОтветитьA very interesting discovery that gives us more human history..
ОтветитьModern opinions of Neanderthals are not that they were brutish, had less intelligence, or didn't make art. All of that has been disputed. Update your research, please.
