Thank you! This is just what I've been looking for. I'm brand new to sound mixing and this is going to help me out immensely.

ОтветитьSound compression best explained !
ОтветитьGosh what a great video!
ОтветитьGreat tutorial, simply understood. God bless you
ОтветитьFantastic video - best I’ve seen on compression …hit that subscribe button
ОтветитьWow! Wat a teacher! 🔥
ОтветитьGreat tutorial. Thank you.
ОтветитьTHANK YOU. JUST USED THIS TO HELP AN ARTIST UNDERSTAND. HIGH 5 BRUH.
ОтветитьIf you really want to visualise what's happening, route the audio from this track as an input to an empty track and record it, that will show you the new compressed waveform. You'll be able to visibly see how much you're evening things up. If the peaks look squared off, your ratio is probably set too high, sometimes though, that might work for your particular vocal, never say never!
ОтветитьThank You!
ОтветитьSimply the best, THANKS🙏
Ответитьwhat every SINGLE movie needs
Ответитьlearned a lot from this!
ОтветитьNow I understand compression. I just used to add it because I knew I was supposed to to make vocals sound better. I made it sound better just by trial and error not knowing what attack or anything was 😂.
ОтветитьVery good. This helped me and I've been singing professionally for 25 years. Nice to be reminded.
ОтветитьBest into to compression tutorial ever. Big ups!
ОтветитьGreat Teaching

ОтветитьThank you I would want every learner to SUBSCRIBE TO THIS CHANNEL SOO MUCH HELP THANK YOU AGAIN GOD BLESS YOU
ОтветитьSo glad I came across this video! I would say I’m getting comfortable tracking and leading up to mixing and this video made the concept of compression so easy to try and learn. I appreciate that you explained the plug in buttons and what they do. There wasn’t filler in the video for the sake of pushing time which I appreciate. Thank you!
ОтветитьYooooo… you’re a blessing. SuhhhScribed
ОтветитьI can't tell you the number of compression vids I've watched. I wish I would've listened to this one first. Would t have needed any others.
ОтветитьAmazing, you made that so understandable and intuitive. I really appreciate your help, thank you.
Ответитьthere are so many guides for stuff that just... tell you what something does or is supposed to do. but here, we're being taken around the compressor, understanding what each knob is doing/changing and how it affects the mix. and, in a way, we're being told the order of knobs to be tweaked for compression, so like i gotta start with the threshold first, then ratio, then attack and release, then makeup gain. so many complex things can be simplified by just giving people a checklist of what to do first; i know it's not always that simple but in this case it works very well. perfect explanation thank you so much!
ОтветитьGreat video, i wish I found this 2 years ago 😁
Ответитьyou have great teaching skills everyone with talent is not a teacher but you get the point across very well.
ОтветитьThanks my friend.........
ОтветитьGreat vid
ОтветитьExcellent!
ОтветитьIs this compressor outdated? In other words, are there newer plug-ins that have advanced this concept? I own this and use it, but am wondering if I am using far outdated technology
ОтветитьHey Graham, I’ve been following you for a while now and I’m I bet u still get comments after 5 years, do you still have the comprehension check list available? If so can you email it to me please. Thx.
Chuck
Helped me a lot!! Thanks mate!!
ОтветитьThis is the best compression video I’ve seen. Thanks for this
ОтветитьDude, thank you so much for this. I’ve watched maybe 20 videos on compression and this is the first one to actually break it down the way I needed
ОтветитьThis video is so great 🔥🔥🔥
Ответитьstill helpfull 4 years later and not confusing and its very simple
Ответитьa great explanation
Ответить👌
ОтветитьEXCELLENT - finally makes sense. THANK YOU!!!
ОтветитьI can’t believe I understand this. You’re a good teacher.
ОтветитьI use MIxPad, which compressor should I use? Completely confused, not technical at all. Female, angelic, very high soprano, singing low too.
ОтветитьOne of the best people who explain simply and accurately what a compressor is and how it works 👌
